Odile announces you, and then she backs out of the room into the hallway, leaving you alone.

"...Hello, Jade..." says Vialle...

"Hello Your Majesty. I come bearing good news."

She looked around seeing if the queen was standing or sitting.

"I am sure you could guess my news, but I would still like to deliver it." Jade smiled but realized Vialle couldn't see it.

"All of us are indeed royals of the realm."

Vialle doesn't blink-- she doesn't know that response, because why would she? --but she sort of does a sort of little pout, thinking for a second-- "Oh," she says, "I understand. All cousins have successfully walked the Pattern." She smiles a little. "That is, indeed, a happy tiding. It sounds like all is well. I believe you planned an intimate celebration...? Are you on your way to it...?"

"Yes, that's it. They all walked it well and after they get some well earned rest I hope to wrangle them to the party. I have to get last minute things set up but yes that is where I am headed now." Jade smiled.

"All right then... do you need aught from me...? Am I invited, or is it more of a people-who-appear-to-be-under-the-age-of-30 thing? Because if it is, that's fine. ...Will there be music...?"

Indeed, it occurs to Jade that Vialle herself does look past her 30th birthday, but only barely. Jade wonders if Vialle knows how young she looks.

"Of course your invited. You scarcely look thirty you know. There is music, Ballad and I ensured a band and it should be a celebration for our Pattern Walkers. A way to show them how proud we are."

Vialle (as a sort of afterthought) raises her eyebrows. "The king tells me so, but it's nice to have a second opinion. One's husband is supposed to say such things, so their veracity leaves doubt."



"Ah. Perhaps I might stop by, then, after you've all had time to get going..." A pause. "A Rebman musical selection or two in the mix, I trust...?"

"There should be yes. Along with some selections of a fey inspiration for Prince Jon and Princess Ballad. Also Ballad helped to make sure some Earth music would be present for Princess Ariadne though I am unsure if Prince Lance remained or went hence into shadow."

"Ah. Well, perhaps I'll hear a song I like. And other Shadows' music is often interesting. Don't wait for me, though."

"Alright, take care your Majesty. I look forward to your presence later."

Jade will rejoin Odile unless Vialle needs her.

"Okay! So! Party time?" To herself, very quietly: "I like saying okay. Okay. Okay. O-kay! Okaaay! We should all say okay more, like they do in Earth..."

Jade smiled, "Yes tis ok party time ! Let's get everything ready to go. Ballad needs to rest some but I am sure she will be there before the other two. The Pattern takes a lot out of you."

Jade walked off with Odile to where they had the surprise party set up.
