I forget, were these "werewolf" guys ones that needed silver, like on earth (not that Ari believes there are werewolves on earth) or were they just shapeshifters who can be killed in ordinary ways?

--Actually, so far, Jon's research into the inhabitants of Weirmonken hasn't mentioned silver one way or the other.

--On the other hand, I don't think Jon's specifically researched//asked if silver is extra-effective or not. (Maybe Jon, from the FeyWylds, hasn't heard that legend, and that's why he hasn't asked anyone about it?)

--Ariadne, being from Earth, has heard that silver works on werewolves, and somehow that legend worked its way into what you ordered from the merchants of Bercarro.

--The merchants of Bercarro, and Pavel, didn't seem to think it was weird that you wanted silver weapons-- maybe they've heard the same legends.

Whether or not the legends of silver working on werewolves is TRUE or not, in the case of Weirmonken, remains to be seen (by you)...
