Re: (OOC) Chat Area Part 2

Forge Anvilhead:
Dungeon Master:
I was running a 3.5 game and the group cam across a T-Tex. So I grab the fighter and swolloed him. Figured he'd be dead within 3 rounds. Nope. Bursted out of my Dino!

One reason my 3.5 drow has syrup of ipecac on him at all times....

And you would have it why? I doubt you would expect to get swallowed and that would be the reason. Plus that's using OOC info ICly. No no no :) You'd need a reason to have it for starters, and need a way to get it into someone. Theres really no reason for the person to have it. Alreay got into a tiff with someone who was in a game I ran. But yeah it would help but you would have take 2-3 rounds to injects it while getting your skin corroded. Be better off attempting to hack the way out instead of waiting :)

I played a drow rogue that was level 2 in another game I was in. Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. Had a friend run it. The group attacked me because I was a drow and I took them out one by one with poisons and a shortbow :) I didn't want to kill the group but they get bested by someone who was 2 levels lower.

Re: (OOC) Chat Area Part 2

To be honest my drow had max ranks in alchemy, and created a ton of useful things, but not really a poison user....
Had the feat master of poisons (can put oil or poison on a weapon for free).

The list of alchemical items he had (used) was a lot,
and yes the syrup was for someone ingesting a poison, or specifically in the event of being swallowed whole...serious problem for skinny drow..

An auran mask and that syrup is useful if you fake your death in an underdark lake...
...if a huge creature swallows you during your attempt to escape, you will not get far...

Re: (OOC) Chat Area Part 2

Well I would assume there was a save for the syrup as there is one for most 'poisons'. Most creatures large enough to swallow you have one heck of a fort save so it wouldn't really be used.

Plus not sure if the syrup was even invented yet but could be wrong. Either way, I probably woudn't allow it anyways unless the person can come up with a good source reguarding it and have it be a DnD site-not a wiki site. Been there, not dealling with it lol.

I get it most [poisoners] have craft alchemy but it takes time to create it. Not like I got 5 minutes and made it. No no no.

I'd also stat if you are poisoned and take the syrup your still poison just not as bad but to each their own.

Re: (OOC) Chat Area Part 2

It has no save...

Might be worth coming up with a comprehensive list of things (magical/alchemical, classes, etc you do not allow in games...
I usually say monks and gunslingers!

Might save some headaches later on.....
If I plan to play such a PC I do have lots of questions first...

No worries, I do not even think my PC would have an idea such a thing even could exist!

Re: (OOC) Chat Area Part 2

Normally I have them listed in the RTJ.

As for magical items there's a ton to go through and I think it would be a waste of time and effort.

Gunslingers aren't bad to be honest. Monks are fine as well at lower levels.  3.5 monks are pretty bad though. I've had people play 5e monks, nothing wrong with them.

Fenris is easy. Someone hurts or kills his wife, he rages and rips into them. Simple :)

Rage and full ppwer attacl:
Elven Courtblade
+15/+15/+10  1d10+24

Plus got Knockdown if he does at least 10 damage. Which he does. If he hits with all 3 attacks thats a minumun of 75 damage. Plus he's got Cleave.

22 strength. 26 when raging. I took Whirlwind Rage instead.

Bad thing is if he falls a Will Save say towards Dominate well....

Edited: Though Knowdown gave you another attack.

Got a quick question for Pathfinder:

What do you think would be a good race for a Winter Witch? Can be something different.

Well if I choose to take it, sure. I played a Ratfolk Magus (A mouse). Pretty funny. Basically was a offshoot of Puss and Boots.

Had a goblin bard that was different too.

Re: (OOC) Chat Area Part 2

Umm slime is down towards the end of the river. Everyone can avoid it. Its over the side where the waterfall is.

Dungeon Master:
Cumarinda Imbrex:
So let me make sure I'm understanding the current situation, there is the not so secure bridge, then there are two other paths for the characters to take? Does either alternative path lead closer to the creature in the pit than just crossing the bridge? Does the pit creature seem to be aware of the PCs?

On an unrelated note: Happy Turkey Day for those who celebrate!

Group is on say path 'a'. Path 'B' is across the no so secure bridge.

Like:
WWW = Wall
w = water going north (up)
wtf = waterfall going down
Brd = Bridge
cdr = Closed Door

How about a Firbolg? Otherwise, I'd go with the Tortle.

Thanks! I will see about doing a post tonight. Been a bit stressed lately.

Went to go get a oil change. Found out I need 2 tires.

Went to tire town. 300+ dollars later...

Re: (OOC) Chat Area Part 2

Not really. You could follow the river. Could go straight ahead and up to make sure there's nothing there. Or go across the bridge to the door.

Keep in mind its still dirty, crappy, unclean, ect.
