[Week 01] Slave Revolt

The plan was set and in motion. The ogryns had been contracted to a guilder to move finished goods around in the cargo area of the smelter. They were mostly unsupervised which made this the best time to turn on their guild masters. There were four guards but they were more concerned with keeping an eye on the local hive scum that might be pocketing items to feed to the local gangs rather than supervising the "loyal" and "dumb" ogryns moving cargo around.

Their goal was to clear the the place and claim it as their own, the credits would provide a good base for securing their independence but also on a personal note, killing the smelter foreman Harlen would bring a lot of personal pleasure to the Ogryns as well.

When the time felt right Dandy brought the device near the comms system. It worked just as the fence had advertised creating an ear piercing screech through the whole system and alerting his men in the other rooms that the time for servitude was over. Now the killing would begin.

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

Dandy waited at the door to the hallway knowing that it would be suicide to rush the guards, even if there guns had a hard time hurting them. He moved to the side of the door speaking in a coded cant they had come up with to tell the others to do the same hoping the guards would open the door to there own demise.

Playing 'Gene-Bred' at start to give Dandy Scar Tissue to reduce damage he takes by 1 to a minimum of 1 and Stimm Implant to let him choose to increase his strength by 2 during his activation but possibly suffer a flesh wound at the end of his turn on a 4+.

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

We should be activating one at a time but for the first turn shuffling around that is fine. The first couple turns are often positioning anyway but once the action starts remember it's one fighter at a time.

Back in the control room Harlen notices that the Ogryns have stopped their loading. He notes with alarm as they start pulling out hidden caches of weapons and armor and he hits the alert. Red lights flash as the doors go into lock down.

"IT'S AN UPISING! THE OGRYNS ARE REVOLTING!"

The building security snaps to attention, scrambling for guns and heading towards the cargo hold hoping to catch them in the crossfire.

Guilders win priority

Now the smart thing to do would be to just reinforce the doors and trap the Ogryns in the middle of the complex and call in reinforcements but with Harlen screaming into their comms Jitters had another idea. You see, he never liked Tanain, not after she turned him down. Too good for drinks with ole Jitters but now he's good enough for her to be using as a shield, huh? Eat shit Tanain.

Jitters slaps the controls for the door to open even as he's backpedaling as fast as he can. He blows past Tanain who just looks dumbfounded for a second before the horror sets in that she is now standing between the guards...and the slaves...

Operate Terminal (Basic) -> Automatic pass because he has authorization.

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

The door opening seemed to trigger whatever routine Dandy had put into the Lobo's in times when he was alone with them and unobserved. The Lobo unit most had come to call 'Dummy' due to its pretense for making errors moved from it's hiding place in the room into the hallway through the door to the storage room it waited in and barreled down the hall to the nearest non-ogryn in it's sights. Dandy didn't enjoy the idea of throwing his kinds lives away, but he knew it would have to happen and the lobo slaves had already had so much taken from them death could be called a mercy. The lobo slaves mono eye receptor focused on the scummer infront of it as it began to raise and lower it's meaty limbs in an attempt to reduce it's opponent to mush.

Feel free to make enemy saves as part of your attack. In this case they were 5+ cuz of Hazard Suit + Underarmor but no save. I'm guess you'll do a follow up CDG so Jitters has to make a nerve test...and passed.

Sure enough one of the Ogryns comes lumbering up and pounds Tanan into the dirt. Harlen realizes in horror as he watches the security monitors that this is going to be the Ogryn tactic. Wait for a door to open and then charge through and pound whoever opened it to dirt. He needed to open up firing lanes.

"D-X546, open all the doors!"

"Sir, are you sure that is..."

"OPEN ALL THE DOORS! SHOOT TO KILL!"

With a sudden grinding all the doors in the complex open up as Zack falls back to protect Harlen.

Harlen group activates to trigger Zack as well.
Harlen -> Move to -K15
Zack -> Activate Terminal, Move -> -K19


With a grinding all the doors in the complex begin rising at the same time.

Dandy gave a slight smile when he heard the doors opening "Now!" He bellowed out as it had been planned all along that they wanted the guards to open every door instead of one at a time. With his bellow the Ogryn called 'Big Guy' by the guards due to his role and augmentation to preform heavy lifting jobs rounded the corner he hid behind and barreled into one of the enforcers that worked there. He reached out at the enforcer the two augmetic fists that had replaced his hands prepared to crush and rend the man inside his armor.

Always roll. Something stupid like all '1's could occur but as soon as you hit an SI it doesn't matter thanks to CDG.

Encouraged by the guilder Barzak charges down the hallway, rounding the corner to smack the surprised Ogryn in the face with his flail.

Barzak activates. Charges to -> E20 -> Attack w/ Flail/Stub/Fail (5,1,5) -> Wound on 5+ (S4 vs T5) -> 1 Wound -> Armor Save on 5+ -> 1 wound


Rusty responds in kind with his own weapons knocking Barzak to the ground but to his credit, the tough hiver was not out of the fight just yet.

Reaction attack -> Spud/Arc (5,3) -> Wound on 2+ (4) -> Save on 5+ (3) -> 1 wound -> Flesh wound (1)

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

The last lobo slave in the work crew moved charging around the corner to engage the other enforcer to ensure as much fighting as could be had was melee. His remaining organic hand moved slow raising and lowering the Spud Jacker it held, but it moved with an unerring machine like speed with the augmetic fist it had but at the last moment it seemed whatever powered the fist gave out robbing it of hitting power.

The sudden relent gave the enforcer time to draw his sidearm and attempt to down the large automata before it got another chance or it's friends came to help. Though it seemed the sudden assault of the uncaring monster shook the officer slightly as the shot went wide the cylinder rotating to the next loaded round.

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

Nono tries to retreat but gets clipped in the back of the head by the lobo-slave and while she survives she is badly injured and left bleeding on the ground.

Long story short, she tries to run, fails, Hey You gets his reaction attacks and deals 3 wounds, all which result in Serious Injury. Lobo does not get a CDG action because it isn't his activation. Still, bad news for Nono.

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

Rusty decided to continue the attack on the hive scum that had assaulted him early swinging with the intent to kill. He reached out with his Arc Wielder and slowly closed it around the scums skull the crackling energies used to bond metals together burning the scum as the sheer power of the fist crushed his skull.

Don't know why but rusty doesn't have an activation marker, but haven't done anything with him yet.

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

It was suicidal but Nikils was backed into a corner. Armed with a stub gun and a knife he charged in at Big Guy. Unsurprisingly it did very little.

Surprisingly enough he wasn't completely pounded into the dirt by Big Guy in return. Sure he was left broken and bloody but he was still kicking...barely.

Nikils charges in, fails to wound. Big Guy lands a single wound for 2 damage, Nikils gets 1 fleshwound and 1 serious injury.

With a furious roar Handy came running from his hiding palce down the hall and past the lobo slave, moving faster then the average Ogryn normally did swinging his massive arc wielder fist wildly which barely missed the Enforcer. But the axe that followed it, made from a roughly beaten spud jacker pounded by there augmented fists, didn't and bit deep ending the enforcer right there.


Playing Quicker the they Look on Handy who will charge to C4 from E9 going through a friendly square.

Dandy bellowed as he moved from his place into the main area where he knew Harlen would be "You get one chance to end it on your terms before I get my hands on you and me and my friends leave this place." He added still walking along moving to behind a large container of he didn't know what.

To the surprise of no one, the guilders nerve breaks and they start abandoning their positions.

Nikils and Nono stay seriously injured.




Round 3

Cool Checks:
Harlen -> 8 (pass)
Zack -> Auto passes using Harlen's check
Nikils -> 11 (pass)
Nono -> 5 (fail)


Harlen squawks over the vox to hold the line, that they can still recover. Nikils is too concussed to hear but Nono says 'eff that' and manages to crawl under some heavy machinery where she can bleed out in peace.

Lol, rolled a '2' on the priority roll. A 3+ gets you first activation.

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

Dandy can't help but smile a bit "I won't lie I glad it came to this." He said as he ran from behind where he had taken cover moving to engage Harlen to end the man personally. As he moved he flexed his back activating the stim pack he had gotten a doc to install during his last check up, it was dangerous to use and basically a one shot but the Ogryn wanted to make an example out of the man. The Ogryn takes a strange satisfaction as he pulped the head of his former tormentor but he felt his muscle burn and tear and his skin split from the use of the stim, but Emperor was it worth it.

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

...or he would have if not for Harlen having the price of the guilds behind his protection. His energy shield flares up and both Dandy's axe and arc welder currents bleed off to the side.

To Dandy's credit though such was the force of his swing that some goes through and Harlen's face gets scarred from a flesh wound but the guilder boss is still alive and kicking.

Mesh Armor + Undersuit + Energy Shield = 2+ save. He saves completely versus the axe and all but one from the Arc welder. 3 damage - 2 wounds = 2 injury dice. I rolled 1's so two flesh wounds. HOWEVER...

The arcs from the welder were strong enough to light Harlen on fire though as the guilder foreman bursts into flames.

BLAAAAAZE!!!!

Zack activates and charges in at Dandy, hugging the wall and coming in at an angle to try and save his boss. He jams his shock baton into Dandy making the Ogryn convulse with electricity.

Charge! Three attacks: Shock/Stub/Shock (6,6,3) -> 1 auto wound (Shock) + S3 vs. T5 (1) -> Armor save 6+ (5) -> 1 wound.

Dandy looks a little singed but that doesn't stop him from turning and dishing out the pain while still juiced to the gills.
3 attacks, -1 for rotation 4+ -> 1 axe 1 arc  -> Axe/Arc wound 2+ (4,1) -> armor save 5+ (5)




Feel free to activate the rest of your Ogryns.

The Ogryn with most there work done cleared any of the former security still clinging to life before moving to assist Dandy.

Big Guy is going to CDG then move and the rest are going to do double moves towards Dandy. Not sure if there position really matters right now since it will be several rounds till they make it.

[Week 01] Slave Revolt

Even as the Ogryns move to reinforce their position Harlen beats out the fire by rolling around on the ground.

"You'll pay for this you stupid slaves! When the guild gets word of this a kill team will come for you all! I'll use your skull as an end table! Officer, evac code mauve!"

Harlen shouts the command and the guild enforcer taps a button on his comm. Emergency lights start to flare and then all the power is cut. Dandy takes swipes in the darkness but when the backup generators kick in Harlen has escaped, although he will be sporting some very nasty scars.

As frustrating as having his prey slip through his grasp was, there was much to celebrate. His boys won their freedom with just a few minor scrapes. They have a whole mess of pulped enforcer equipment to dump on the black market.

Now came the hard part, keeping the Arbites off their trail. Dandy was smart enough to know the only way to keep their freedom was to keep the forges going. As long as the manufactoriums were supplied with raw materials, the powers that be cared very little for who was actually making it.

Unsurprising the guilders bottle out (Rolled a '6', lol). This is not the last time you'll see Harlen. For now, go through your post-battle actions.

Make sure to keep a log of everything. "Dandy performs this action" "Rolled this for black market rarity" etc. etc.

Dandy had his brothers, for thats what they were now regardless of before, gather up what gear they could and thanks to a few people who were sympathetic to there plight he was able to sell the goods that had not been to smashed for a decent haul of creds. Dandy was cautious about going to the trading post but hoped that the large cargo cover he was using as a make shift cloak and hood would help, and it did as he was able to find a seller that had access to what he wanted. Dandy took a deep breathe and walked in his nerves almost getting the better of him as he approached the trader "I need combat level undersuits that fit Ogryns." He said handing the credstick to the trader with his organic hand.
