Thats why I tend to start smaller rather then larger, I go for starting with quality or quantity.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

The problem with a small gang is you risk bottling out really fast. Originally I planned battles to be about 6 models instead of ~10 however at that point you risk a bad roll bottling you out on the very first injury which isn't fun, especially if you have to sit through weeks of watching other people fight to catch up to the week while you twiddle your thumbs cuz one unlucky die roll lost you the entire game.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Man this is making me want to really play a RL game of Necromunda with my Ogryn. They hit like trucks and most of there stuff has rend -1 and the stuff that has rend does between 2 to 3 damage per hit which tends to get through and take most people out.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Well this isn't a great showing for opposition but yeah, consistently getting STR 6 attacks is pretty awesome. Not to mention that the base models have 2 wounds.

Reminds me of the old Spyrer Hunter gangs. Your gang was like 3 people but each one was death incarnate.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Thats kind of what I was aiming for, a very small gang but each guy could probably kill multiple guys and can take a beating. Especially my heavy weapons guy with his T4 and 3+ save with a damn autocannon, could replace it with a heavy bolter if I wanted to as well. It's one of those 'If they make it then we buy the plebs' kind of gangs.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Remember if you think the map is out of date, try forcing a refresh (CTRL + F5). Because we're rapidly updating the same "link" a lot of browsers cache the picture so it doesn't actually load the new one, it just loads the image saved secretly on your computer.

OR I screwed up and forgot to upload a new version. That is also likely.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

I'm using a PC, and the standard refresh button works well enough for me (but I do have to manually refresh each time I load the map, as it almost always renders the old one).

Maybe your phone app has a refresh button that will work ?

On a phone it is much harder, you have to clear your browsing settings. Are you using Safari or what?

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

This is the only way I know of how to do it on an android:

quote:
Open Chrome.
Click “Settings” from the browser menu bar.
Find “Privacy” from the menu.
Scroll down to the bottom and click “CLEAR BROWSING DATA”
Once you have cleared the browser history you can load the website to see the latest update.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

So I just realized if I gave an Ogryn a Stimm Slug stash and Bull Charge they become a Move 7+D3 S10 T7 monster for one round. If I roll a one then they probably end up dead after but man that one round could turn the tide.

S10 is wasted against T3 humans, S6 was already quite enough :)

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Yeah but it's incase I ever fight I think a Jotun servitor or some of the other 'big guys' some gangs have. Also there are T4 humans out there so need to make sure I can atleast get to S8 so I never have to worry about really wounding.

Also just realized we now technically have the full spectrum of standings Lawful, Outlaw and then my Ogryns who are basically 'Neutral' but are forced to be Outlaw.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

Grimm I forgot to ask, now that we're nearing the end, how did you like "fog of war". Was it interesting not knowing where the enemies were or even what their full roster was? Or do you think it would have been better to just deploy and play as normal?

I liked it, particularly couple with the ritual I knew was taking place, which forced me to push aggressively into the unknown.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

FYI this is the first time me playing (running) Necromunda in years so if you see me making a mistake, please let me know.

Some mistakes I already have made

1) Not being vigilant on nerve checks

2) Not target selecting to closest/easiest target

3) Pinning happens if you are HIT not WOUNDED like I've been doing it.

That is why we're running these "generic scrubs" missions so we can iron out the rules and the format before I start hitting you with the really mean and nasty stuff.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

1) Yes, I completely forgot nerve tests too, and with the big pile up we had there definitely should have been some.

2) It hasn't really come up until this turn in our battle, I wanted to target the closest player anyway before that, and I'm pretty sure you've been doing the same.

3) I think you've been doing it right in our battle ?

Also, we should have been making Lasting Injury tests at the end of the turn a fighter is rendered Out of Action, although there is no real consequence in waiting for the end of the battle.

Re: [OOC] The Drinking Hole

For #3 I would actually prefer to do it all at once so the details aren't lost. You are free to roll it for your own edification but I would prefer a "summary" post that makes it easy to reference everything that happened and copy to the campaign log.
