Kryichawr held his weapon in one hand, inactive until given the go ahead. The Wookiee was still relatively short for his kind, given his youth... and he was always aware and mindful of how few Wookiees there were among the Jedi... it was a privilege to be among them and often what he used as a focus to maintain his inner peace and connection to the Force.
He had been grateful when his master had allowed him to keep a Rykk Blade in his quarters, even though it was a connection to his past and the Jedi Code frowned on connections it was still a part of him and he appreciated the recognition that the Code had to allow for some flexibility to truly integrate all beings into the Force... In Kryichawr's case, it was a symbol of honor and family that balanced against the infamous Wookiee rage....
Returning to the moment, the metal cylinder felt heavy in his hand, its importance apparent in the way he gripped it. One day, when he crafted his own, he would follow a tradition of a wooden hilt for his blade.
For now, he prepared for a sparring session, prepared to go through forms with his Twi'lek partner.
Using his connection to the force, he used his meager telepathy to punctuate his Shyriiwookian growl of readiness with a thought impression of the same.
