Kosi took a breath, "Tell him I am a part of the group that destroyed the evil, voodoo cult.  Miss Ava Kay was good to me...I want to know more about the charges and the proof.  If the charges are just, then so be it. But, if not, then she deserves someone to defend her," he paused. "If someone treated you kindly, would you not want to be certain they were a bad person," Kosi asked

"Was it sheriff's own investigation which led to the charges, or do they come from a third party?" Jinxie asks as she walks up to the gate.

I talked to Bill, and he said, that if we reach Colossos City in one piece maybe we should see his brother.  He said he would give us a note to give to his brother Doug at the Mining Guild there. Says he has a job for us there.  I learned a few other things too.

Despite Aksel's fear, the gaurd does reappear with an escort of 10 soldiers.

He calls up to the tower and the Iron gate slowly starts to lift.

Sheriff Kingston will see you.  You may keep your weapons, but any funny business will be dealt with harshly.

The guard motions you inside a courtyard, where behind a large tower you can see Salassain soldiers going through drills on the grounds.

The tower is sqaure about 60x60 and at least 50' high and stands higher than anything else around.  The flag at the top bears that of Salassia. Attentive soldiers scan the skies around for any signs of trouble.

The gaurds take you through another iron gated opening after a few steps up to what seems like a second floor area and you traverse down a hallway to a large room.

Clearly a great meeting Hall of the keep. A warrior in ornate armor with an eye patch is seated on a small diaz. The mood here is military and the walls are decorated with local weapons, shields and animal skins. Lighting is provided by windows high above the main floor of the room and some glowing statues of lions placed about the chamber strategically.     The ten gaurds and the officer who escorted you remain and there are other guards in the chamber and two on either side of who must be the Sheriff.

Come forward and tell me your names and why you seek audience, says the Sheriff.

"I'm Jinxie," the gnome says to the sheriff and then steps back, waiting for the others.

My name is Mandlenkosi Ibhubesi.  I wish to discuss the arrest of Miss Ava Kay Jones.

I am Kamal Solomon, Holy Man from Zion and friend of Adio Linton.

We understand Ava Kay JOnes was arrested for starting a Voodoo cult. We be fearing dere been a mistake.

I'm Aksel Thornbeard from the Red Mountains.  Ava Kay Jones even gave me this glyph to protect me from the evil cultists we defeated and it worked.

I have a village full of dead people, a hidden Voodoo cult amongst our midst and Ava Kay Jones is the only Voodoo preistess in town.

There is utter chaos in the streets of Kinatweh's Keep, and someone needs to be held responsible.

What proof other than a tatoo do you have of these claims..

"The cult we destroyed was in a hidden complex beneath one of the warehouses.  There was a powerful priest and his lieutenants.  We killed them," Kosi began, "unless someone has cleaned out the complex, there should be proof there."

We all fought bravely againstg these foes with Miss Jones help.  She tried to help us stop the cult!

I am responsible for law and order in dis place and I have no reason to doubt all dat you are telling me, but I must confirm what you are telling me.  Voodoo is one of many fine Terran traditions here in Salassia but like any tool it can be used for good or bad.

What bother's me de most is all of dis was happening here and none of you.. NONE of you thought you might notify the authorities around here as to what was happening.

Nevertheless you have all done Kintaweh's Keep a great service.  I shall send word to Count Kintaweh at Colossos City of your deeds. He may have use for brave and capable adventurers such as you.

If my men can confirm with Aido Linton all you say is true, Ava Kay Jones will be released immediately.

"Well sheriff, as to why none of us informed you: you might ponder on why we were sought out instead of you in the first place," Jinxie says before taking her leave.

"I am sure you do a fine job, and do apologize for not telling you, but, I can only speak for my situation, sheriff," Kosi began, "I had just come in to town and was heading to the market when two Dranabina came running out of a warehouse.  I calmed them and they spoke of slavery and torture.  I only reacted the way I would in any situation...I ran to the evil and tried to kill it."

We be but strangers here encountering strange things, and did not know who was or could be involved in dis cult.

I will Inform Adio Linton of your visit.

Kosi turns to look at Kamal and Aksel, "I must go check on Boorg and protect Miss Ava Kay Jones' store.  I was going to see if she would teach me to read the runes on items..."

He bowed his head in thought and then looked up and started walking.  "If you would like to help, it would be appreciated.  But, I understand if you just want to relax and prepare for the next adventure."

"So uh... why didn't they just contact the sheriff about the warehouse instead of hiring us?" Jinxie ponders out loud. She shrugs after mulling it over briefly.
