Request to join/FAQ (read first)

I created this game due to a GM wanted add. That said those who wanted this game will be providing me input with what type of game they want to be in.

This game will provide opportunities for heavy combat (H2H, & firearms) and role playing in that in many cases the direction of the game will be due to character choice.

Please include how often you will be able to post in character in your RTJ. As the GM I would prefer to have players who can make at least one substantial post a week, if not more.

I am limiting this game to a total of eight player characters.

Can I use a character from another N&SS game?

Doesn't it suck when you make a character for a game here on RPOL (or elsewhere) only to have the GM be a bitch ass punk and stop posting without saying why?
Yeah it's happened to me a few times.

Knowing that character creation for a Palladium character can be lengthy, you can submit a character from another N&SS game. The character will have to be approved by me. If I feel that the attributes are a 'bit high' I will ask you to re-roll attributes, and all bonuses associated with die rolls. I may ask you to adjust the characters level (it might go up!). The character will also have to be a good fit for the game setting.

Use the die roller

For character creation. Please do not roll stats up at home and just plug them in.

Likewise as the GM I will make all combat rolls against PC's with the die roller as well.

If you're accepted as a player but no longer want to play

Please PM me and say your leaving the game. I don't need to know why.

Also if real life is getting busy and you can't post as much, or need to go on a hiatus, let me know, we'll figure something out with what to do with your character. I have had some players deploy to the Middle East and come back to the game 6-9 months later.

Inactive players: If a player is inactive for over a month and has not contacted me regarding an absence from RPOL his/her characters will be put into NPC status. If the hiatus occurs during combat there will be no promises that the character(s) will suffer an injury or be killed.

Player absences: If a player does contact me regarding an absence I will place the players character(s) in NPC status and semi write them out of the game. When you return I will try my best to get you back into the game ASAP. I do not need to know the reason for the absence, but a good idea of when you will be coming back would be nice to have.

Ways to contact the GM
  • Make an OOC post
  • Send a a PM to me here in game
  • RPOL Rmail
  • Regular Email (if you have my contact info)
  • Private message me on Facebook (if you know me on Facebook)

In regards to Facebook, please do not send me a friend request. I generally only 'friend' people I've met in real life.

Character sexuality

This game is rated mature, therefore it is ok for there to be some intimacy in the game. Just make sure that any interaction beyond kissing is dealt with in a 'fade to black' manner. I see no reason to role play sexual encounters, and do to so would make this an adult game.

Character sexual orientation: If you wish to play a gay, or lesbian character you may.

Non-Player characters as significant others: It is ok if your character has a significant other. You can even create them as a NPC if you wish.

Discussion of real world political issues OOC

Please don't, as it can/will lead to players arguing political positions/issues in OCC and can/will result in players leaving the game.

I do not care what a player's real political view is, as to me it doesn't apply to the game itself.

Now if some sort of political issue comes up in character, within the game that is fair game but to be limited to the context of the game.

In character actions have in character conseqences

This is kinda disclaimer that in character actions may have adverse affects to your character and other characters.

Some examples:
  • Looking through a freshly made bullet hole in a door might result in getting your brains blown out. Yes this happened to a player character in one of my games.
  • Being insubordinate may have repercussions. Had this happen and the commanding officer (ran by another player) decided that the punishment for two characters was being tied together. One of the players completely flipped out and out right refused to role play this, which resulted in them leaving the game.
  • Rolling a natural one when trying to throw a demolition charge that is not meant to be thrown.  The player in this case actually stated in their post 'I'll start rolling up a new character'
