Ralgar: I assume you were on the shore so 15' would put you in the water and you'd have to swimg. So kinda hard to use the weapon and swim. You can stand on the shore with the spear out, that works but still its 30' away.

Ok, cool. Yeah, I just want to move up to basically intercept the creature if it decides to come onto land. If it comes within 10' of me before my next turn, I'm readying an action to attack it.

Woo! And also, "Whew!" I'm glad we're leveling up, because that thing hit like a freight truck!

I'll have it done by the end of the day. When do we get abilities: now or after resting? Same question with max hp increase. I figure spells will come after a rest.

Well I'm going to assume your going to find out if there's only 1 creature in the lake and then rest. Or vice versa. Group doesn't know if its one creature or multiple ones. You don't automatically get all your HP :)

Spells will come after rest.

And it depends on the abilities.

This is what the Polearm Master gets at 3rd Level:

Steadfast Pike (Ex)
At 3rd level, a polearm master gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls with readied attacks and attacks of opportunity made with a spear or polearm. The bonus increases by +1 for every four levels beyond 3rd.

This ability replaces armor training 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Ralgar: Level 3 Polearm Master
hp: +10+2+1=39hp (I had my hp miscalculated on my sheet for some reason. 3d10+6(Con)+3(FCB)=39hp.)
3 Skill Points: 1 Perception (+3), 1 Sense Motive (+8), 1 Swim (+9 (+6 w/ACP))

Feat: Improved Trip: You do not provoke an attack of opportunity when performing a trip combat maneuver. In addition, you receive a +2 bonus on checks made to trip a foe. You also receive a +2 bonus to your Combat Maneuver Defense whenever an opponent tries to trip you.

And that's it! Nothing super duper special for a level 3 Fighter. Starting to lean more towards using my AoOs to trip people and let the panther have its way with them.

I just did it. Most of this isn't too relevant, but there were the following significant changes.

1. Greater Illusion Focus (now running DC 19 on Color Spray!)

2. A new revelation that gives me +5 to all wisdom based skills at night under an open sky. Also, I can cast one spell per 'day' under these circumstances as though it was modified by several metamagic feats.

If we have to camp, the later should be helpful, pushing my perception/survival scores to semi useful levels.

Fiki got a bonus to intimidate and fear effects and a feat. Plus basic stuff (HP, BAB, ect)

I pondered giving her Imporoved Initiative but eh.

Also be sure you look at the sheet and update everything :)

Its bout 2-3 in the afternoon. Also, if going to have the panther 'sniff out' anything make the correct roll please.

Dav: Perception would work but need Survival to do any tracking and doubt you have it as a class skill

Also there's really no reason to grab it, bring it into the village (and make everyone more uneasy) just to burn it which could also warn the winged creatures :) Plus the panther wouldn't like the smell of burned hag.

Ralgar: You know its a sea hag. Percy identfied what it was in the beginning of the fight.

Everyone: You know the hag probably came up on shore, killed people and dragged them into the lake. I believe the druid was able to find that out earlier after the fight. If you want to be sure make Survival checks. Probably didn't travel far from the water.

You can have high Perception but have crappy Survival skills or vice versa. Sometimes they work well together aka if you want to find tracks (Perception) and Survial (follow them).

Oracles get a bunch of skills based on their mystery.

Heavens grants survival, oddly.
