Don't suppose there is any kind of mechanical benefit, or even acknowledgement, of a shield wall?

I doubt beyond the rule of cool of a heavily armed/armoured knight moderately armed/armoured dwarf and lightly armoured woman with remnants of facepant storming a position while two people behind shot arrows and a mustachioed soldier takes out a giant sword

Well, we are kind of already doing it how I would if there were no explicit mechanics. The shield bearers block the way with full defense actions while people with reach or range strike over them lol.

Glad to hear it!  Hopefully a bright mage that gets to cheerily incinerate cultists won't poke at the new not-a-mage... or at least will poke at him less, since he won't have to heckle you for a miscast. :)

May be a dumb question but are we all dancing or do we need to roll a WP (or other stat) to try and resist.

WP to avoid being enthralled. If you fail, you wave and dance and appear lost from reality until you pass.

Second question regarding that; I'm assuming I could say... Give anyone subject to this a rough shove if I make my save... Would this break the spell?

any violent action break the "focus". However to be strict, damage has to be inflicted to a point where that would be regarded as "breaking" the spell.

So give someone a violent smack with bare fist would work if you do even just 1 damage.

Don't know if accounted for, but the missile's damage is 5 thanks to talents.

Will try to make a point of it next time I use such spells.

You are for "round 1" in trance and pushed out of it, meaning you have to spend the round to "wake up".

Still mid-move and internet is out.  Almost out of data on phone as well.  Will try to get on to read at libraries/etc at least once per week, but please feel free to NPC me as needed until I get internet back.  May be another 10 days.
