Working on your character sheet. Is your ride American (Ford-Lincoln Continental), Japanese (Toyota Mirai) or European (Audi A6 E-tron)?

All the same stats, just different look and feel for your character.

I'll go with Japanese, based on the (real-world) ubiquity and dependability of Japanese autos, and the (in-game) presence of Imperial Japan in the Bay / Cal, unless I'm off-base about that part.  American would also work fine, if for example Japanese is more exotic than I am guessing here.

You are reading the setting right. In San Fran a luxury Toyota sedan (think entry level Lexus) would blend right in.

What kind of Comms and Surveillance Gear options do I have, for under 1,500¥?

@Pacer: trust the Rigger to look for the comma gear and tech!

Radio / Microtransceiver - 100¥ (need at least two to make a comms network, with three or more you could extend the range, using a drone or a static location as a rebroadcast station). Add encryption for 100¥ each (ie. double the cost).

Bug scanner, Directional mic or Shotgun mic - 100¥ for something pretty basic, 1000¥ for something really wiz

Binos, micro camera - 100¥ … adding low-light, thermal, flare compensation, each adds 100¥ to the base cost… mounted in a set of goggles triples the base cost. So, for 1000¥ you could get a really flash set of low-light, thermo, imagery enhancing goggles.

I just realized Pacer has cyber-eyes with low-light and flare comp.  Is it too late to modify the binos, and remove those features, so they are just binoculars with thermal added (and I can save the 200¥)?
