Creation Guidelines, What To Expect & What I Expect

Hello everyone! If you're here, that means the game's premise and introduction intrigued you. If you haven't read the introduction just yet, please take a moment to do so now.

Who Your Character Is
The nearest Sept, located in Lexington, has made a call for intrepid, brave or just plain stupid werewolves seeking to make a name for themselves to investigate the diappearance of the Widdershins pack, who inexplicably disappeared while becoming slowed down by wyrmfoe on the way back to Lexington from the West Virginian border. They did not meet these Wyrmfoe in Hell's Kitchen, but Wolfe County is the last place that the pack reported stopping to camp and is the last coordinates their GPS reported before losing contact.

You likely won't be local. All werewolves coming in will most likely be freshly changed werewolves that the Sept has blessed into pack status. Yes, you begin this game with the other players in a pack with the others.

Stats and Sheets
For the moment, I am accepting only Kin and Werewolf characters. Basic starting points for character creation. Go here to download and create a Mr. Gone interactive sheet!

I am relatively rusty with RPOL so if you have a better method of creating and managing sheets, please let me know!

Character Origins
Most characters will be from outside the town. There are no local werewolves, packs or septs - even though there seems to be a plethora of Caerns and places of power. The last pack that needed to traverse through the area went black and completely incommunicado by morning. Kin can be local to the town itself, but will require a bit of a briefing on the inner workings of the area.

What To Expect
You can expect, from me, at least one extended post every 48 hours. I am a father of four and a business owner so I cannot give attention all the time, but this game is an important method of storytelling my own ancestral history for me.

You can expect me to be devoted to everyone having fun, including me. That entails not bullying others (I use an iron hand with bullies), and not being a rules lawyer in the middle of a session or scene.

Before the game itself begins, I expect you to at least glance over the Consent Checklist. I may even write one out in order for you to fill it out.

What I Expect
I expect you to openly communicate your needs and goals for yourself and your character within this game. I expect you to let me know what's fun, and what's not for you.

I expect a post during normal game posting at least once every 48 hours. I may post guidelines for this, but I do not like when games stall and I know you don't either.

I expect you to play nice, and play fair. There is a difference between IC and OOC conflict between players. You can kick the dogshit out of each other IC, but I expect you to be kind OOC.

I expect that if you are going to be AFK for longer than 48 hours and not able to post - for you to have the courtesy to let me know so we can move forward and I can find a way for your character to not be in the thread. I understand that life comes first, but it only takes 10 minutes or less to toss me an rMail.

I expect you to understand that this game will not play nice in character. I expect you to understand that the Appalachians are older than you may know, and evils lurk in the hills that will far overpower and outclass even the most competent pack. You are expected to play a character that understands this - even if they act foolishly. I do not often pull punches and am a proponent of the mantra, "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."

And that's it for now. I'm off to post looking for players. I'm looking forward to playing with y'all!
