it's about two or so in the afternoon. going back to town would take until dinner time. say six to seven. but the storm would be blowing in by then, so by the the time you made it back to this site the tracks would be heavily diminished.

Going back to town is not a good idea with this situation being time sensitive.

This particular bit of swamp in noted for its remoteness. you may come across a hunter's camp or maybe a lumberjack party but you don't recall any actuall villages or clans out this way. it doesn't mean they are there, you just aren't familiar with any.

Bogryn's search will yield a two handed sword, a longsword, a pair of daggers, ten arrows, and a shield. Mostly stuff left behind, probably to save space and or weight. There is an old harpoon on a set of wall hooks, used for hunting local gators and crocs, and it looks to be well preserved despite its age and wear.

Yrpish make an investigation roll. everyone needs to make a perception roll at disadvantage due to the storm (to see if you notice the army of undead ninja vikings sneaking up outside).

you are sure that these fighters died of combat inflicted wounds, poison wasn't used, but there seems to be some doubt that it was completely natural, possibly a necrotic magical effect like magically induced rot.

just as a reminder it is late in the day, close to time to be making a camp for the night, so you guys are wearing down. secondly, the horses are tied up outside as well, though they are on the other side of the hut from the people in the marsh. and the storm is pretty damned severe, visibility outside is very limited, county as darkness with light obscurement.
