Rules

When a group of players assembles, rules of proper play are required.

1) You control only your assigned character(s). No character may by decree or post, control the actions of another character. This is a forbidden act called Godmodding. Each player is free to control their own character alone.

2) This is a group activity. Participation is key to success. Participation is expressed by: Posting within the expected time-frame IN-CHARACTER either doing an ACTION, Conversing with another character or characters, or interacting with the scene/environment itself. Bonus participation is conversing with your fellow players in the OOC (Out Of Character) thread

3) Respect is a two-way road. You must give it. Treat everyone respectfully. We don't know what others are going through. This is a hobby where we seek to have fun and hopefully relax playing a game.

4) If you will be absent, at a minimum notify the GM of the expected length. Any unexplained absence of 1 week will place the character in time-out with the GM controlling the PC as required. A month or more shall be considered abandonment. It is rude and disrespectful to just disappear. If the game holds no interest, kindly inform the GM so you can be removed and no disruption to the game. (The GM has all the rest of the world to manage, players just control their own characters. Playing for someone else is an additional burden, be respectful of this)

5) Have fun. If this isn't fun for you, take initiative and let the GM know. Unknown issues cannot be fixed. I have not nor ever will develop mindreading. Communicate with me. I share my Discord User Name, so people may contact me.

6) The GM is the ultimate authority on all rules. He's also a human and makes mistakes. Don't sweat the rules. If I make a mistake let me know, cite the rule properly and explain why you feel I made an incorrect ruling. I'll pass judgment and we move on. No debates, please. I'm taking time out of my schedule to facilitate this game, I don't have time to enter into pointless debates.

7) Actions always have consequences. Most of them are apparent. Kill a monster, the monster is dead. You cannot interrogate a dead monster (Unless you have some power to compel it to). Kill the beloved town mayor, the people will see justice. If they cannot obtain it, they may form a lynch mob or hire a bounty hunter.  Play the characters with the knowledge what they do will alter those who are aware of them.

8) The GM is busy. He may have read your PM, comment, or inquiry but then forgot. If you didn't get an answer in a day or two, please send a PM.

The GM reserves the right to alter/add/remove any of these rules to make the game better.
