Here's the breakdown of the character creation rules I will be using:

1. Absolutely NO 3rd party material. Please save us both the time and don't ask.

2. I will have the final say on what's allowed and what isn't. You may politely make your case to me, but let's all be reasonable adults.

3. All characters will begin at level 7.

4. Standard 25 point buy.

5. Races allowed: Core, Featured and Standard.

6. Classes allowed: All but Occult classes. You may pick up a Prestige Classes if your character can qualify for one. Multi-Classing is also allowed if you wish to go down that route as well.

7. Starting wealth: 23,500 GP. Note that you may not spend over 50% of that starting gold (11,750) on a single item.

8. Hit Points: Everyone will get max HD at every level. I find this to just be easier than making a bunch of rolls. Keep in mind the same goes for companions of any sort and NPCs.

9. Leadership: I will consider this feat on a case-by-case basis. Good story justification will be needed, and I will work with the player on designing the companion's character sheet to keep a good balance.

10. Traits: Each character will begin with 2 traits (as usual, they cannot be from the same category). A player may opt for taking a drawback for their character in order to gain 1 additional trait.

11. Background Skills: We will be using them.
