CHARACTER CREATION: START HERE

We will start with a CHAPTER ZERO, in which each character is just an ordinary person living in a fantasy village or city. So, choose one of these:


----People who could definitely already fight at least a little if they had to:
--Farmer (fighter or paladin (deity of agriculture unless you have an idea of your own))
--Guard (fighter or paladin (deity of protection unless you have an idea of your own))
--Sailor/fisherman (fighter or paladin (deity of water/the sea unless you have an idea of your own))
--Blacksmith (fighter or paladin (deity of the forge unless you have an idea of your own))
--Gladiator (city only, not village) (fighter or paladin (deity of battle unless you have an idea of your own))
--Miner (village only, not city) (fighter or paladin (deity of earth unless you have an idea of your own))


----If you want to be a Ranger or a Druid, choose:
--Drifter (ranger)
--Poacher (village only, not city) (ranger or druid)

----If you want to be a Rogue, choose:
--Criminal (city only, not village)
--Poacher (village only, not city)

----If you want to be a Bard, choose:
--Storyteller, chanter, singer, or performer

----To be a Sorcerer or Cleric, choose:

--Artisan/artist (sorcerer/cleric (deity of art/craft unless you have an idea of your own))
--Healer (cleric (deity of healing unless you have an idea of your own))
--Merchant (sorcerer)
--Old man or Old woman (cleric (deity of your choice, unless you want the GM to choose))
--Servant/laundryperson/sewing person (cleric (deity of your choice, unless you want the GM to choose))

--If you want to be a Warlock, choose: Any of the above.

--Also, if you choose Noble, you can choose to be: Fighter, Paladin or Cleric (deity of Rulership, unless you have an idea of your own)), Bard, Sorcerer, or Warlock.


If you want to know more about one or more of these ways of life, please ask the GM!



STATS:
--Forceful (used mostly for melee combat and brute strength and being tough)
--Agile (used mostly for ranged combat and sneaking around)
--Insightful (used mostly for remembering useful stuff and figuring things out)
--Charming (used mostly for persuasion)

Assign these values to the four stats: +1, 0, -1, -2. THESE WILL ALL GO UP ONE POINT EACH AFTER SESSION ZERO!



Now, for the individual classes, see that classes' respective thread.


As for character race, you can be any race you want (that you clear with the GM first). No race gets any benefit (nor detriment) whatsoever, except one:

You get the following racial bonus:
  +2 to any Insightful roll that directly involves the culture or history of your race
