CLASS: RANGER

You've always lived by surviving in the wild... But you're about to get even better at it, by necessity...

(pick 2 moves or roll 1d8 twice):
1. Called shot
2. speak with a specific type of animal
3. Fast shot-- in ranged combat, you can choose two targets per round
4. monster knowledge
5. exploit weak spot
6. make safer camp
7. spot danger (in the wild only, not in a city nor man-made building nor man-made dungeon)
8. Animal companion

IF you choose animal companion:
--You have an animal companion trained to fight people (pick one or roll 1d8 once):
1 wolf
2 wildcat
3 bear
4 eagle
5 large dog
6 hawk
7 owl
8 reroll

Then, pick 1d2 strengths of your companion or roll 1d20 two times:
1 fast
2 tough
3 bigger than average
4 calm
5 adaptable
6 quick reflexes
7 tireless
8 camouflage
9 ferocious
10 extra-keen senses
11 stealthy
12 search
13 scout
14 guard
15 fight monsters
16 perform
17-20 reroll

Then pick a weakness or roll 1d6:
1 flighty
2 savage
3 slow
4 forgetful
5 stubborn
6 reroll

AFTER SESSION ZERO, YOU WILL GET:
--leather armor.
--a big bundle of arrows
--a Hunter’s bow and short sword
--Adventuring gear

In melee, you inflict 1d6 hits. With ranged weapons, you inflict 1d4 hits (but Called Shot and/or Exploit Weak Spot will increase this). (Having an Animal Companion can also help in combat, depending on their strengths and the situation.)

Ranger: When you make a roll to do something that involves you fighting or doing something cool involving nature (EXAMPLES: tracking someone, making friends with an animal, asking a friendly animal or an animal companion to help you, using nature to help you hide and/or sneak around, setting up a trap out in nature) add 1 extra point to the roll.
