DESTINY UPGRADES

CHOSEN ONE:
Turns out you're the Chosen One. You can also Command Lore about the various prophecies and legends about you, letting us know more details as they become important.

Chosen One Advancement:
When you Level Up, choose an option from this list or your basic playbook's Advancement list, then mark it off. You may only choose each option once. You also increase your Level by 1.
o Increase one of your stats by +1, to a maximum of +3.
o Take a Custom Move from any basic playbook.
o Take a Chosen One Custom Move.
o Take a Chosen One Custom Move.
o Take a Chosen One Custom Move.


Chosen One Custom Moves

Ancient Allies
When you awaken an ancient enemy of the Overlord to aid your cause, they will always be willing to help you. They are capable of holding off a Threat to the World by themselves, for as long as you need them to.

Choose two consequences for calling upon them for aid:
 You and your people will owe an equal favor in return.
 They are slow to take action, and you will need to buy them time.
 They cannot travel, and you'll need to lure the threat to them.
 Re-awakening them will have disastrous consequences later.


But the Prophecy!? (Insightful)
When you act against the prophecies, roll +Insightful. On a 7+, you have changed the future. Tell us one part of the Prophecy that has changed and what will happen now as a result. On a 9-, breaking causality has consequences. The GM will tell you one way that defying the Prophecyhas changed things for the worse.

Fate's Puppet
When you act exactly as has been foretold in the Prophecy, you can mark this Move to declare what happens next. What happens next must be inline with the Prophecies as foretold by you and/or the Harbinger, but otherwise anything you say becomes true. You cannot use this Move while it is marked. When you earn Fellowship, remove your mark from this Move.

I Must Do This Alone
When you act on your own, you can use your memories of what you're fighting for to inspire you. You can erase a Bond with someone who isn't here to be filled with Hope for a single roll.






The Elven Elite (Note: Your character does not have to literally be an elf to claim this destiny-- you just have to meet the other requirements below.)

You have become the one thing no elf thought was possible: A better elf.

Requirements: Agility +2 or +3, Touch The World Lightly

The Elven Elite starts with the Move Serenity.

Serenity
When you walk calmly without causing or intending harm, wild beasts, dangerous monsters, enemy soldiers, hazardous terrain, treacherous traps, and surly dwarves cannot harm you.

Elven Elite Advancement:
When you Level Up, choose an option from this list or your basic playbook's Advancement list, then mark it off. You may only choose each option once. You also increase your Level by 1.
o Increase your Agility stat to +3. If it is already +3, take an Elven Elite Custom Move instead.

Elven Elite Custom Moves:


Evil's Bane
You have become a new Weakness for the Overlord. Choose one of their Overlord Stats. When the Overlord is in your presence, one of their stats instantly becomes damaged.


Hand of Silver
You are capable of crafting glorious magical items. It will be expensive and require exotic materials, but it can be done, at great personal cost. When you create such an item, describe what it looks like, tell us what it does. There are two costs, though:

--It will be the pinnacle for your craft, and you will never again have the heart to craft anything like it, and
--It costs you an emotion, and you will never feel that emotion again

If you can accept the costs, you are now the owner of a unique magic item with a suitably powerful and dramatic ability for the cost put into it.



Perfect Grace
Requires: Poetry in Motion
You move without effort, and can go anywhere you need to be. You can walk or run along any surface, including sheer cliffs, ceilings, lava, or drops of rain falling from the sky, and you always roll with Hope to Get Away.






The Halfling Sheriff

You have achieved the highest position in Halfling society - that of the Sheriff, the Peacekeeper, the highest authority (in the opinion of Halflings, that is).

Requirements: Courage +2 or +3, Sting Like A Bee

The Halfling Sheriff starts with the Move Slippery.

Slippery
You can squeeze out of any chains, ropes, or handcuffs binding you; through any small windows, jammed doors, or tight spaces in your way; andaway from any grabby hands, clumsy orcs, or monster's jaws trying to catchyou, all without making a roll to Overcome them.
Halfling AdvancementWhen you Level Up, choose an option from this list or your basicplaybook's Advancement list, then mark it off. You may only choose eachoption once. You also increase your Level by 1.

You can Sting Like A Bee from any range - you don't need to get in close.
You don't even need a Ranged weapon - you can always find a rock to throw,
or think up a taunt to sling, and get their attention that way.

Once per session, when no one's watching you, you can simply disappear.Tell us where you went, and you're there.
Sheriff Material
Halfling communities will always welcome you with open arms, grantingyou Fellowship immediately with them if you do not already have it.
Size Matters Not
As long as they underestimate you because of your size, you haveHope against them. Your small stature will never get in your way or preventyou from doing something that anyone else could do.
Wonder Chef
You can cook up a meal from almost nothing, and you make every mealcount. When everyone Fills Their Belly, one person eats for free, withoutspending Food.
