NOTE: This Background is really only for Homo Sapiens humans, or Woodlings, or maybe for Giants.

The life-giving tubers that can sustain a tribe through winter.

The burgeoning flowers that playfully beckon travelers.

The mystical herbs that whisper their secrets into the unfeeling breeze.

You are an expert in the gifts and whims of the Low Spirits, those overlooked spirits who take root in the Earth and extend her magic to those who would but look.

You forage for scarce foods, mix time-honored tinctures and even brew the occasional poison-- should the spirits ever call for such measures. Perhaps you lead your tribe in sacred ceremonies. Or perhaps you feel more kinship with the Earth’s gifts than you do with your own kind.

EQUIPMENT
A grass poncho threaded with decorations, healer’s tools (see TOOLS), a gourd filled with honeywine, a sickle (small), a dose of poppyjuice, and two purses of sweetroots, bearberries and lichens.

COLLECTING FOR WINTER
Some herbalists are insatiable pioneers determined to root out every last secret the Low Spirits hide. Others are content to glean almost entirely on instinct. One thing is crucial to them all, however- their belts are laden with thoughts of tomorrow. What hangs from your belt?
