You’re no stranger to the flame. It has the potential to create life, to sustain it; but it also brings death. You wield the forces of death and rebirth, directing them where you please.

You cleanse the lands in fire, driving away competitors and allowing life to start anew. Perhaps you incinerate other tribes in their homes. Perhaps famine and smoke drive them
from their charred lands, leaving Mother Earth to decide their fate.

The Mother does not wield flames. She wields insatiable winters. Monstrous beasts. Treacherous migrations. The Mother is cruel, vindictive and dark. All you do is make her a little less capricious.

EQUIPMENT
Splints of blackened wood, 2 purses of suspicious cooked meat, 2 dewskins of water, a fire kit (see TOOLS), a trophy from a victim, a firestick, and 5 doses of tallow.

PARIAH BY NATURE
Heralded by destruction and the stench of burning flesh, there are few brave enough to get close to a Fire Keeper. Describe your relationship with the tribe of your birth:

1. Your unique relationship with death is not fearful, but a gift from the spirits. Those with such wisdom oversee warding and burial rites.

2. With no kith or kin but the unquenchable flame at your side, you scavenge from the charred bones of its victims.

3. Except as a masked specter at feasts, your tribe has exiled you. The children hail you as an unearthly bogeyman.

4. In the face of a bickering tribe who fear brutality, the Shaman refuses to admit to encouraging your methods.

5. Your entire clan is built on conquest, be it of other cultures or of Earth herself. Mercy and harmony mean nothing to them.

6. Your gift of flame once maimed the wrong person. You must prove you’re still worthy of walking this Earth.
