The Story So Far

Decades ago the Exayne archipelago was dominated by an advanced Amazonian Empire whose power was challenged by the arrival of a mobile sea base of unknown origin known as the gigafloat. Capable of launching fleets of warships to contest the waters, Exayne found itself unprepared to mobilize enough of its might to secure every coastline. With plenty of avenues of attack available to them, the mysterious gigafloat invaders found ample opportunity to ingrain themselves in the land and corrupt it with genetic alternations that led to mutations and irreversible ecological disasters, thus granting this mysterious race of invaders the name 'Despoilers'. The situation was not helped by separatist Amazon factions exploiting the invasion for their own gain. The loyalists of the Empire eventually created an energy barrier that sealed off and isolated the heartlands from the outside world to ensure that it could never be corrupted, but many years later the barrier remains and no one knows when the Royal Enclave will lower the barrier and try reclaim what was lost.

Now, some eighty years later, the archipelago with its myriad of smaller islands are a realm with dozens of competing factions vying for power. From small independent gangs to large syndicates, each own territories hoping to gain control of lucrative 'green zone' islands that have not been influenced by the Despoilers, who still remain at large in 'red zones' that became mutated beyond recognition.

The Story So Far

Controlling a chain of islands known as Taleah, one small syndicate known as The Vipers has fully recovered from a series of pitched battles against rival factions in decades past and is looking to expand its influence once again.

Ships of the most promising future members to the Vipers have launched and given the independence to operate mostly on their own, but under the supervision of a ranked officer. Their goals will be to find opportunities for expansion, production and wealth, and to skirmish with any enemies found in their way.

One such ship, a converted destroyer class called The Gale, has left Taleah and operates under the supervision of Falke, a once fearsome soldier known as the Ebony Hawk.

The Story So Far

After some time, The Gale arrived in an area known as The Sheltara Straights best known for harboring pirates operating out of a place called Skull Reef. The Gale encountered a cruiser of theirs attacking a vessel belonging to a syndicate known as the Nereids. After a lengthy battle, Reina managed to infiltrate the bridge of the Skull Reef vessel and slew the captain. The disruption of morale and efficiency in the chain of command led to the pirates surrendering their vessel within the hour.

Earning no small goodwill from the Nereids, they assist the Viper crew with establishing a cooperative outpost on a sparsely populated isle known as Miho Island with the hopes of exploring potential cordial relations between the two syndicates. After a week, both groups now operate an outpost dedicating to the relative stability of that small stretch of sea, as well as the garnering of potentially valuable resources given the lack of development and exploration in the rare.

With word of potential money to be earned, it didn't take long for both locals and Amazons from away to curiously begin arriving at the outpost on Miho Island now that some meaningful start-ups and amenities have been made. If they are successful in discouraging pirate presence in the area, it could just be the start of a thriving new port town.
