It's the weekend, and I don't generally update on the weekends. I suspect that why we're still waiting on 2 folks: The weekend.

So, let's give them a chance to catch up, and I'll post results for the day's activity (ie: the forage) Monday. If you're NOT foraging (and I will assume everyone is, barring other instructions) please send me a note telling me what, if anything, you ARE doing.

Foragers, on the other hand, please send me some rolls: Wisdom(Survival) once at Disadvantage, and 2 rolls of 1d6.

I made a typo above, folks, which I've fixed: TWO(2) rolls of a D6 are needed with the foraging roll.

Folks, I've just had some sort of thumb drive melt down. The thumb drive I keep my game files on so I don't lose everything when the laptop finally dies of old age (as has happened a few times to me). Ironic that I lose the device I use to keep from losing my files.

This game is just starting and we're mostly using the 3 basic books, so it won't affect much here. I have hard copies of those. Still, my copy of Xanathar's was digital, so somethings may be a little iffy until I can get into town and have Staples run a data recovery on it and transfer things to a new drive. Might be a week.

Question, will a help action do something with foraging

SO do I. Could just be an issue with the usb jacks on my laptop. I'll try and copy it at the library tomorrow, then take it to data recovery of necessary.

Luckily this game is early days and all you game tracker file has in it was the results of the thirst checks. Easy enough to reconstruct

I still need Con saves from Ingvar and Stig, as well as their plans for the day, if other than foraging.

Also, Stig hasn't been on in about 5 days, so we may have lost him

I'll update tomorrow, folks, whether or not the others respond. We may be down to four already.

I mean Stig posted this, I didn't understand if he finished his covid break or if he is entering it.

Either was, computer viruses and biological ones are incompatible. Without details, or another post. All i can do is give him some time and move on without him.

Sorry for the delay in posting folks. I got sidetracked trying to find affordable data recovery yesterday. Now I need to decide how much my game files and downloads are worth to me.

I hope Stig is fine IRL, and I hope we will hear from him soon. If we don't I am also fine with moving on as 4 or including new people if DM wishes.

Also if it's ok for me to choose, I would like to give the food and water that I found primarily to the people who are active and are playing the game. If the two players who are absent leave the game, can we become cannibals and eat them?

No, but you only found enough for 4 to eat and 5 to drink, so they went unfed. Until they are back, they're non-factors. Which also means you'll need survival rolls for a new lean-to when the time comes.

But a life of forage rolls and living day to day gets boring so I'd recommend some water skins and starting to move north to find Vinland.

Ill give you folks a deer or two to try and kill for combat practice tomorrow, so that should help.

I could use some definitive guidance, folks, what are you going to do on day 3? And Wo is doing which part?

My character isn't much help on that regard. So she'll be here as spiritual guide.

If you have Nature training you should be able to see it, if not, not. Assuming I set up the language groups right, anyhow

This was an off the cuff idea, and, obviously, I wasn't doing it well. Too much emphasis on tool use, I think. I probably should have started with full gear and a nice combat.

Maybe. Let me think on it. Goblin bashing always works, I suppose. I have a sub-setting for that I could use, but some of it was lost with my data issues, and it might be a couple weeks before I get it back, if at all.
