No less a person than the Sorcerer Supreme (even if he isn’t one you’re familiar with) has tasked you to retrieve something of crucial relevance for the stability of the multiverse.

And it happens to be hidden somewhere in Sundown City.

I really wish I could tell you.

No one’s a hundred percent certain.  It’s at once a haven, a harbor, for those who wouldn’t otherwise have one, as well as a sort of drain stop for problematic personalities who might gum up the pipes of the multiverse.

A kind of false Limbo, if you will, but one with pretty awesome infrastructure and amenities, and most of what you’d desire in a bustling metropolis.

Sundown is a pretty great place to disappear to, in fact, and you gotta be kinda special to get in, typically in a nonessential sort of way.   No offense, there;  it’s just to say there are other versions of you who are more “prime” in the grand scheme of things.

But they can't save the multiverse, in this particular case, and you can.
