The Sellsword is a ancient Orion Class Star Clipper that the Colonel won from a very inebriated Rogue Trader in a game of Five-Card Raekis while visiting the Quaddisar Palace space station casino. While the Rogue Trader was good to their word, they made sure that a majority of the crew and Enginseers that were sworn to serve the ship were placed on other vessels in their fleet. Only a skeleton crew remained for the longest time. In the sixty years since they won the game, the Colonel has been slowly building up both the ship's crew, and the mercenary regiment that would make them mountains of Throne Gelt.

Originally given the name The Golden Maiden, the Colonel rechristened the ship something much more appropriate to her new role: The Sellsword. She may not be the prettiest Imperial vessel in the galaxy, but she is fast, reliable, and has more tricks up her sleeve than one would guess...


The Orion Class Star Clipper is a light Imperial vessel.

Considered a rarity amongst Imperial starships, these vessels are designed for cargo transport at high speeds. Orions are constructed to transport smaller, high-value cargoes that must reach their destination quickly or through hostile territory. Rather than rely on armed escorts, Orions travel alone. Often they are successful in their runs, but they do have one major drawback. The redundant internal bulkheads and exterior armor that would normally be added have been forgone in order to increase speed and cargo capacity. As a result, an Orion can easily be crippled in only a few hits.
