Good questions
Balkazir:
Questions on 'Low Magic'
Adolescence Open Spell List (e.g. Urban culture) ranks.
I assume: none
Unless you are a semi-caster profession in which case you can use it for Base or Open? If not then we can chat about trading the ranks for something from your hobby list (see below).
Balkazir:
Adolescence Power Awareness (e.g. Urban culture)
I assume: none
This might be useful if you get a magic item which allows you to cast a spell, e.g. Boots of Silence. If you really don't want to obtain these skills then, again, we can chat about trading the ranks for something from your hobby list (see below).
Balkazir:
Adolescence Hobby Ranks
I assume none may be allocated to Spell Lists, Power Point Development, Power Awareness or Power Manipulation
These will be determined by your culture. Each culture lists a specific set of skills to which hobby points can be allocated.
For your culture, if I remember rightly what you are, you can allocate hobby points to these:
Acrobatics, Acting, Ambush, Appraisal, any Armor skills, Boat Piloting, Body Development, Climbing, Cultural Lore, Dance, Embroidery [Craft], First Aid, Hiding, History, Jumping, Leadership, Metal-crafting, Navigation, Observation, Painting, Public Speaking, Rappelling, Region Lore, Riding, Rope Mastery, Sculpting, Signaling, Spell Lists, Sprinting, Stalking, Star-gazing, Swimming, Tracking, Trading, any Weapon skills, Weather-watching, Wood-crafting
That has
Spell Lists, but there really isn't any point unless you are a semi-caster profession.
As an aside I can't emphasise enough the value of things like
Region Lore for the area you'll be in. If you want to be noobs in an area then there will be consequences. Language skills aren't the only thing you'll need to talk to people in a sensible way, and locals will get annoyed if you ask for directions all the time. Expect to get lost.
Balkazir:
Background Special Items
I assume that Spell Adders, Spell Multipliers, Daily Items, Potions are all not available
They are available. The low magic restriction is on casters, but enchanted items will still be available... after all even your average trio of particularly stupid cave trolls managed to build up a hoard that included at least three renowned magic swords/dagger, plus mithril mail. Potions of a healing nature will be particularly useful because I assume you all remember how lethal combat can be in Rolemaster.
You shouldn't expect to loot magic items from every fight. I don't run
Monty Haul campaigns. Items will still be rare which is why getting them now will be good.
As a reminder, if you aren't a semi-caster profession, and a random roll for items or traits results in you getting something that is specifically for casters then let me know and you can re-roll.
