In-Character Thread: To Quayern...
The voyage to Quayern is surprisingly swift. Your crew comments on how surprisingly favorable the winds are for this time of year... it's not unheard of, just surprising. But since it's nothing to complain about, they don't dwell on it.
Only Lil notices that even when the wind dies off sometimes, the ship keeps going east by northeast more than one would expect. Maybe Dh'Gath's words about enchanting the wood of the ship or whatever he did had truth to them...?
There's plenty of fish to eat from over the side, too, so your new cook in the galley makes sure you all feast well.
The first conflict comes when you reach Malmorda, the main Quayern town on the coast.
Your first thought is to dock there, at least briefly, and ask around about what that Sefonian "diplomatic" job posting was all about.
But Dh'Gath expresses urgency to go a little farther-- at least another half-day's sailing, probably a little more-- up the coast to the northeast, to the area he was kidnapped from. He cannot deny that it makes sense that you'd want to stop at least briefly, but he feels that it's very important to press on before the situation with the "westerner weapons" gets even worse...
What will you do?
