Well, he's a PC. This is a pure roleplaying thing. So you don't need to roll.

However, you can roll to sense what is wrong with Matt. That may help you get info from Matt he would not otherwise say, and use that info to convince him.

You can roll whichever die pool is best. However, you do need to post IC what you are trying to figure out about Matt. He may or may not get a 'social defense roll', if you can imagine such a thing. He does not need to do this 'social defense' if he is being open with you. He may not.

The social defense is typically a empathy or wits + a skill to keep people from figuring out stuff about you. Usually its a social skill. Talents will modify this(Looking at you, Ryder!).

I will add this to the new rules section.

That wasn’t meant to be a social modifier thing, more a moral support thing, but it’s nice to know it can be both! 😄

Anything can be a social modifier. They are the 'weapons' in 'social combat'.

Oh, yeah, I know all too well how easy it is to miss posts, that’s happened to me plenty of times. And if you hit preview first, then post, and someone else posts while you’re on the preview screen, it doesn’t give you the usual warning, which is annoying. :/
