Re: OOC (out of character) chat

Don't get too excited about my first post, I found out I may need to take another approach. Ignore the Dwarf, for now.

Re: OOC (out of character) chat

Dwarf, man… whatever: the only question for the Squire will be—shield or no shield?!

@Raska: right! I didn’t see it: the bandits know how much gold starting PCs get  )))

I'm hoping that our starting characters are worthy of this battle. That is because I am voting that we start some shit.

Liche:
Either way roll damage.

I thought we dealt the fixed damage, "On a successful Attack Test, you deal 1 of point damage to your enemy if you have a Light weapon and 2 points of damage if you have a Heavy weapon"

Your right. Too much back and forth. A successful test deals damage.

Re: OOC (out of character) chat

Is the Defender Trait--
I’ve got your back. When an adjacent ally is hit, before Evade Tests are made, you may choose to have that attack hit you instead.
--an Action? (one of the two Actions I think we get?)
Or a 'free' reaction?

Combat is rolling already but so far no one has been hit. The bandits however seem to be taking some damage.

Re: OOC (out of character) chat

I think I missed that every one of us should use 3d6 to attack since we use our mastered weapons. I will add d6 to my post.

"Usually, you’re going to be using the weapon you have Mastered to attack. Any weapon type you have Mastered allows you to roll an Attack Test with Advantage, or 3d6. If you are simply Proficient with the weapon you’re wielding, your Attack Test is a standard 2d6 Test. You have Disadvantage for Attack Tests while wielding weapons you are not Proficient with—this includes unarmed combat and improvised weapons."

Our starting weapon is 3d6, the same weapon type is 2d6, other is 1d6.

By the way, I rolled 13 times, every roll with 30% chance to win and got it only once.

Re: OOC (out of character) chat

The rules here, on the site, are different than in the book.
No automatic Mastered weapon here, only the Group Proficiency.

Re: OOC (out of character) chat

It says "weapon mastery" in your sheet.

And in premade examples " Weapon Group: Light Melee Weapons (Mastery: Long Sword)"

Re: OOC (out of character) chat

I was apparently wrong too. Did not release that you roll three dice but that sounds correct after looking over the rules.

Also Hunter was right he can attack twice if he doesn't move.

Re: OOC (out of character) chat

So after losing Squire that brings us down to four players. Are we good with continuing the story and trying to brute force through the adventure?

Liche:
4 Bandits left including the leader that Raska is struggling with.

Raska manages to stab the leader killing the man
Two other bandits go down quickly
The other two bandits see the leader die and begin running off

There is an impostor among them.

Re: OOC (out of character) chat

I'm somewhat confused about how many Bandits there were.

I'm okay with going on. I'm going to miss Squire's enthusiasm, but I'm having fun.

Who's okay with Liche playing a tag-along? I'd be alright with that.

Re: OOC (out of character) chat

As I think this game has fizzled out for me. I am going to consider this a loss at this point. Unfortunately I am not a fan of this system nor this pre-made story so far. I think it would be best if we simply closed this game.

I am considering a FATE based fantasy game with more fluid rules but the settings would be something unfamiliar to most fantasy people. I want something more original that doesn't follow the main trends of Elves, humans and Dwarves.
