The baron smiles at Raska. "While I do appreciate each one of you for coming, I will offer a reward of sorts when you return. 20 gold pieces for each person who travels this quest which is much more than you will make in many nights adventuring. What say you fellow? You seem stout in your will. When you return we may even discuss a bonus coin for returning with information about Sir Robin."

"Well, maybe the payment is really not that bad compared to regular adventuring but you say that we should fight some sort of miasma, how do you imagine that? Maybe you better send some mages and medics there instead of fighters? And you say it causes illness, can it be cured and is it contagious? Should we take some precautions against that?", Raska asks, not very happy about needing to do something to get paid.

The baron rubs his chin, "This is true. However most of the mages of this court are off dealing with a more important matter, that being a dragon. This should not pose a threat to strong adventures. We need to find out the source of this. I do not believe it is contagious this is also why I am sending you with stock. I would recommend not eating the food."

The Squire is very distraught upon hearing that Sir Robin was sent out to Brookhollow.
"He left without his Squire, or his shield?!", he mutters.
The Squire knows that Sire goes not like writing messages, but, still, that is bad news...
Then he hears the Baron is sending all these people to look for Sir Robin.
He jumps up, clapping his hand repeatedly against the shield, dancing around:
"Long live, Baron Leonas! Down with Miasmas, and off to Brookhollow to find Sir Robin!"

"So you are sending adventurers to cure some illness of the crops? I'm ready to accept this job if you say that we will be paid even if we do not discover a cause. New plant deseases are not so rare so you should understand my scepticism. How many warriors exactly are you planning to send for such a task?", Raska asks, trying not to laugh. But he still chuckles a bit after hearing some goblin's shouts praising the baron.

The Squire is very happy to see the Baron thank two more adventurers, though he cannot see the one that seems to be standing behind him?
But, the Dwarf seems like a sturdy one--though, if he had a shield, he would have more runes and less scars on his face.

Oberon grunted "you miss understand my request.... I can hunt for myself on the journey... I was asking for provisions for the villagers, if they are indeed ill they will not be able to harvest their crops this means they will starve this winter..... I will put up my payment to buy supplies for the village if I must and will pull the cart myself all the way there if I must.. "

He looked the Baron in the eye his coal black ones unblinking as he gauged the man...

" it will be of little use if we get to the village solve the situation only for them to die in the winter months "

The baron looks the bear in the eyes, "No. No one will starve in this kingdom. Once you have solved this issue and returned, I will send carriages of food to the city to get them through the winter months. I can surely spare some extra food on your journey to give to the villages to tide them over until we can solve this mystery."

He then turns to the lizardfolk, "Thank you. The kingdom thanks your courage."

One of the Baron's couriers comes up to him and mentions that the horse and supplies are being readied.

"My servants tell me your supplies will be ready shortly. If you wish to leave tomorrow so be it, I will feed and house those who have stepped forward to this task. Or if you prefer to leave sooner I will make haste and making sure they are ready for you."

The baron sees Hamlin step up. "Thank you for your skills. Please take the time to spend some time talking to other adventures or even my own council while we ready your supplies."

The supplies will take some time to gather:
Do you leave first thing in the morning? Or as soon as possible?
You have time left to talk to other adventures and council people, would you like to gather more information?

The Squire does not need supplies nor counsel, so he will leave whenever the valiant adventurers set off.
Though he will try to talk to all those going, Dwarves, Bears, hunters, late-comers…
« Please do not be forgetting me! I must go out there to find Master. The great and grand Sir Robin! »
Come to think of it, afraid of being left behind, he will sleep amongst the supplies…

Raska walks closer to the council and asks, seaching with his eyes for some mage-looking people or just anyone smart, "I don't see any mages among the ones chosen to find a reason for this illness, could you at least tell us what we should look for, maybe you have some examples of the same things happening in the past? It took some time for those villagers to fall ill and call for baron's help, and they themselves did not notice any cause, how are we going to be any better at that, we have the same eyes as those villagers. Maybe you could provide us with some magic items that can help us find the cause or send at least some mage with us?"

"And what exactly was the task of this Sir Robin? Was he a mage that was sent to investigate this illness? Was he also a part of a group or was he sent alone?"

Raska find out from talking to a few people that Sir Robin went on his own accord being a true adventurer and knight of the kingdom. According to several reports he went on his own accord and likely without anyone else.

You also run into another fellow part of the court who makes small talk with you. "Oh why hello.", he says. He listens to your questions and replies back, "A strange hermit does live very close to the village. Word is he can talk to nature. No telling if he himself has done this to the city but either way it's worth checking out."

Raska approaches the other adventurers, "Some guy just told me that there is a hermit in that village that can talk to the nature. I wonder why the baron's people did not ask him anything when they collected information about the dying crops there. This baron acts too strange for my liking, I would think that this is some kind of a trap if I could imagine how that would benefit him. I don't want to stay in this place for longer than needed, do you all agree to move out as soon as possible?"

Then Raska looks at the goblin, "They say this Sir Robin decided to move there alone and without any reason, this is another strange thing that bothers me. Do you know any reason why he would do that, leaving you behind, if I understand correctly?"
