Scene two: Through the woods

As soon as the horse is ready with the gear a small wagon is attached. The baron and his guards help load the wagon with supplies for you and your trip. He thanks each of you again before leaving as you prepare you gear. The village itself on foot is only about three days from the castle itself.

You will have to take a path through the Wynding Wood and over a mountain to reach the village. As you leave the village behind walking all the road that leads out of the castles gates the sun still set high in the sky rather clear and crisp wind hollowing on your back.

What starts as a rather simple travel takes you a few hours to the edge of the Wynding Wood. The road seems to almost vanish but a well worn path lies before you worn down from merchants and travelers alike. Still the woods seem to come alive before you enter even in some places blocking out the sun.

Anything you would like to do before you enter?

Scene two: Through the woods

The Squire follows Oberon around, happy to not be forgotten…
But then he is very distraught when the Baron himself puts items in the cart.
« No, master! No, let me… »
The Squire tries to do this packing himself.

Later, nearing the woods, the Squire just walks along…

Scene two: Through the woods

Hamlin walks in front of the group, his tread as light as mist moving along. His eyes and head where in a swivel. He always head his short bow in his left hand, strung with an arrow rest along its length.

If there is anything hidden in the wood, Raska hopes that he will spot it. Maybe he'll even find some mushrooms or berries there.

OOC: Raska if you want to make a perception roll/survive roll go ahead to check for food or berries.

As you start the trek into the woods the light from up above closes in on you. There is still light between the trees from the sun that shines in but the forest itself is thick. You walk through a number of different terrains crossing a few minor streams and bushes. You run into a few deer, rabbit and other animals that run off before you cross their path.

You come up to a clearing with a place to sit down and take a rest after hours of walking. A huge log allows you to get some shade from the sun.

Scene two: Through the woods

15:42, Today: Raska rolled 4,3,2 using d6,d6,d6.  find food.
Looks like not only the animals ran away when they approached, but the berries and mushrooms tried to hide as well. Raska did not eat any of the baron's food, hoping that the rations will be enough until he could forage in the forest, but maybe soon he will have no choice.

"I feel like this forest doesn't want us to be here, we should not stay for too long. Are you sure you want to camp here instead of continuing further?", Raska asks, looking at the place. The enemies might hide behind the trees and easily surround the clearing while remaining hidden. Maybe it would be hard for them to approach, but if they have bows, they don't need to.

Scene two: Through the woods

The Squire was quite distraught, what with Oberon on all fours, yet twice as tall as the Squire--AND following behind. I mean, the Squire should be the one following.

And that nice Raska fellow, well, nice when you stayed cleared of his chomping distance... the Squire chewed away on the nice fresh nettles he had picked from the side of the road, and wondered what Raska was looking for to eat, and not finding.
Frogs? Frogs are good...

Seeing Raska eyeing the trees and such, the Squire wipes the shield to make it doubly sparkly clean, and straps to his arm.
Arrows are easily stopped by intrepid squires with shields, as the saying goes. Well, if the Squire could make it into a saying, that's how it would go.

But, he is ready.
