The guildhall and quarters

The guildhall is one large open room with vaulted ceilings and a central fireplace that is open on the four sides, filled with tables, a space fit for grand celebrations.

It is just the way you remember it being, all your life the guild hall had taken in members of your community to join, whether they came back in celebration of their climb to wealth and building a stronghold of their own nearby or the ones who had fallen in service to the guild, the funeral ceremony was second to none, with a great feast for the fallen member and an invitation to the people who knew them best.

“On one side hung a very large oil-painting so thoroughly besmoked, and every way defaced, that in the unequal cross-lights by which you viewed it, it was only by diligent study and a series of systematic visits to it, and careful inquiry of the neighbors, that you could any way arrive at an understanding of its purpose. such unaccountable masses of shades and shadows, that at first you almost thought some ambitious young artist, in the time of the New England hags, had endeavored to delineate chaos bewitched. But by dint of much and earnest contemplation, and oft repeated ponderings, and especially by throwing open the little window towards the back of the entry, you at last come to the conclusion that such an idea, however wild, might not be altogether unwarranted.

But what most puzzled and confounded you was a long, limber, portentous, black mass of something hovering in the centre of the picture over three blue, dim, perpendicular lines floating in a nameless yeast. A boggy, soggy, squitchy picture truly, enough to drive a nervous man distracted. Yet was there a sort of indefinite, half-attained, unimaginable sublimity about it that fairly froze you to it, till you involuntarily took an oath with yourself to find out what that marvellous painting meant. Ever and anon a bright, but, alas, deceptive idea would dart you through. - It's the Black Sea in a midnight gale. - It's the unnatural combat of the four primal elements. - It's a blasted heath. - It's a Hyperborean winter scene. - It's the breaking- up of the ice-bound stream of Time. But at last all these fancies yielded to that one portentous something in the picture's midst. That once found out, and all the rest were plain. But stop; does it not bear a faint resemblance to a gigantic fish? even the great Leviathan himself?”

The guildhall and quarters

Igor's room is the third on the left, it is number 6. The door is non descript, like all of the other doors. All are simply identified by the number. Inside is where the difference lies! From outside, by the dimensions, each room looks to be no more than a cell, about 10' by 15'. When you open the door, you are assaulted by the shear size! It appears to be a suite, with a sitting room to the left and a library to the right of the room, which appears to be 25' by 35'! It has hardwood floors with rich carpeted rugs on the floor by the chairs and tables in dark green. A window to the right has several flowers on tables by the window itself for the 'light' coming in! A large fireplace is on the left wall with a wide wooden mantle above. You don't see anything except three doors to the rear. The timber beam ceiling has various herbs drying from them, a boar's head is mounted above the mantle!

The walls are covered with Green velvet curtains and colorful tapestries and several oil paintings. One a portrait of a young Igor with his family when he was a wee lad. A few landscapes and more portraits.

Sanstree's "room" is on the top floor, there are few rooms on the top floor, as it is the area where owls, falcons and other birds are comfortable....

His room is set atop a short tower, with no means of egress, the only way into or out of the room is an open wall facing in towards the aviary...
He tends to talk with others here or in the main hall during meals.

His clothing is limited to loincloths for the most part and togas for parties.

Lorian's room is down below in the steady light of the underdark.  Continual low-lighted torches glow to illuminate the the spacious room.  Within the room are several tables, a large feather bed, a large roll-top desk with writing equipment and books on it.  On one table is a bow press with some files, feathers and oil soaked rags.  Another has punches and cutting utensils along with several cut strips of leather.  In the corner next to this table stands an armor manikin holding a suit of Black leather armor.  Another table has a few glass vials and several glass cups an beakers sitting on the table.  A large purple velvet sheet lays on the top of the bed adorn with a 3 foot tall "B".  On the wall is a dart board with 2 daggers sticking in it. At the foot of the bed rests a 3 foot large chest.  And off to one side is a 3 foot tall bookshelf with no books on it.  The forest scene above the bed on the wall depicts a wooded glade with Dark Elven Women dancing naked around a bonfire. All happy and delighted while the moon peeks out from behind some clouds casting light on the clearing.

The guildhall and quarters

Little did the others know of the harshness of Athas, the burning sun for daylight and the frost covered sand for the night.  He knew the form of his quarters.  Silks and pillows.

(Imagine a Large Bedouin Tent with the silks laid on sand and pillows strewn around the space, a large carpet in the centre for dancing and playing, a large rounded pillow with a shallower bit in the centre for resting in, thin veils protecting the occupant from sand and bugs around the bed (mosquito net).)

He moves to the stand near a separate area, a feathered cloak with polished bone studs all over it, strangely made musical instruments.  He takes the thin, indoor silk cloak off and sets it on the stand.

Unmar's room is located on the top floor. The nondescript wooden door opens into a spacious living quarter of comfort and luxury. The floors are tiled mosaics covered with lush rugs, Tapestries and deific paintings adorn the walls. A large fireplace is in the center of the stone wall directly across from the doorway. To the right of it, a stack of cedar and cherry wood. To the left, a tinderbox filled with tinder and pitch. Loungers and chairs are arranged in front of the fireplace around a low hardwood mahogany table.

An arched doorway to the left of the fireplace leads into a large kitchen with an exit door into a vegetable and herb garden.

To the right side of the room is a staircase leading up to a balcony area where tall bookcases stand, each filled with tomes, booklets, or figurines.

The entrance is dominated by a large hardwood dining table capable of seating twelve. Morning glory flowers are the centerpiece of the table.

The left is dominated by a double door archway that leads outside to a veranda filled with flora of flowers and plants of all kind. Forty yards away is a deep pool of blue water surrounded by lush vegetation.  Birdsong and trills echo across the water from the trees.  Just before the pool is a raised dais with a white marble statue of the Morninglord.
