OOC: The point of this origin story is to get familiar with the system as well as your character. We are going to go into detail uncovering what happened that possibly made you the way you are. Feel free to let me know if facts/people/places need to change. Keep in mind this event takes place before you have your powers 24 hours after your exposure to your abilities

This origin will be much different as it is going to take place with three characters not 1. Good luck!

In the dimly lit underground chambers of Helix Industries, a group of children, their faces etched with a mix of excitement and trepidation, huddled together around a mysterious apparatus. The corporation's latest experiment promised incredible powers to these young subjects, but as the machine hummed to life, something went terribly wrong. A surge of uncontrolled energy cascaded through the chamber.

As you watch in awe the Childs body becomes pure energy and breaks his bonds. Alerts ring true as Helix soldiers run into the room. A few are gunned down by the child who is melting down and destroying bodies of Helix soldiers with his energy powers. After a few solders manage to stop the child and suddenly he is gunned down, leaving the others in shocked disbelief.

Panic erupted among the children, and chaos reigned as they scrambled to escape the confines of Helix Industries, the once secretive corporation now exposed as a hub of mysterious and perilous experiments. With their newfound and unpredictable abilities, they fled into the night leaving a wake of bodies in their path.

You find yourself right outside of Helix with gunfire and soldiers right behind you. You have already noticed that something different about you. You can feel your powers surging in you.

Kate wasn't in the best of moods right now, she was panicking, and the world seemed to be ending around her. In other words, something she dealt with every day of her life, and something she needed to push past.

"Sorry, for speaking up. But, I'm Kate! I know we just went through a crappy situation, and it's only going to get worse... But, Is there anything I can do to help? Anyone need anything, before we try to come up with a plan, to lie low for a bit?" Mary didn't want to speak up about the warmth she was feeling, it felt like it was exploding out of her, a warmth that wanted to be shared with the world, to help. She just borrowed the feeling it provided her, as she spoke about how the hell they were going to get out of here. The Warmth... felt nice, though, it was the best feeling she had in a long, time, and she wasn't certain when she'd feel as good as she felt right now.


She looked at the boy, and the girl with her.

The Boy, looked smart and smug about his intelligence, she didn't really like those types of people. They tended to neglect relationships, sure of their intellectual superiority.

The Girl looked English, she seemed to be a trouble maker, but she wanted a trouble maker with her here, she'd probably prove to be invaluable in getting us, further out of this situation.

"I'm Georgia," the English girl replied. She was wide-eyed and scared, just like the others, but didn't seem to be panicking.

"Let's get away from these thugs, before they remember we're witnesses.

Georgia felt like vanishing into the night.

"Victor Payne." He said quickly and as a matter of fact, his blue eyes scanned the environment before he looked back at the two girls. "We should make our way to town and try to find some new clothes, maybe some food and supplies, at the very least we need to get out of here." He paused, looking them up and down for any sign of damage. "Are either of you wounded?"

With everyone agreed, Kate starts heading to the City. There wasn't really anything to talk about, except for... they needed to leave, and no obvious obstacles blocked there way. Kate, thought and dismissed stealing a car, she didn't know how to steal one even if she wanted to. <pre>

"No, I'm fine," Georgia replied to Victor, declining to mention a few bruises she'd sustained in the mad scramble to get out.

She followed Kate, assuming the other girl knew where she was going.

Behind you comes the rumbling of gun fire and you hear. "HEY! STOP NOW!" says one of the soldiers.

You can hear the trampling of tones of foot steps coming your way. The noise behind you has drowned out to only the sounds of people groaning in pain.

Kate, looked them up and down, trying to identify what was up with them, the stories they had to tell. She needed to identify what was up with them, to figure out how to pacify, or at least quiet them down. She wasn't a great speaker, but she knew what made people tick. She had to, to make them like her.


Using Notice, rolled -1, 0, 0, 1. For 0 +3 from Notice, for a +3 Total, to identify the aspects of the soldiers.

"Does that ever work? I mean, who hears 'stop now!' and is dumb enough to actually stop?"

For all her flippancy, she was scared. The people yelling probably had guns. She picked up the pace, trying to keep away from the guards and into areas offering more shadows or concealment. She fervently hoped they didn't see her.

"We might be able to outrun them, they're in combat gear after all." Victor kept running with the girls alongside him, trying to come up with a way to shake off the soldiers on their heels. He looled between Georgia and Katherine. "If we can make our way to civilization we could try to hotwire a car."

OOC: The soldiers appear to be using some kind of automatic weapon however a few them have what looks like some kind of dart gun. Obviously they are injecting some of the people with something to stop them from moving.

One solider that is closer to the group than the other lifts up his hands when he catches up to Katherine. "We know that you don't know any better but we need you to stop. Look at the damage you have caused! Come back with us willingly."

You have seconds before other soldiers are upon you.

Katherine genuinely curious, on what damage she caused, actually looks around, trying to figure out what the heck they're talking about.


Kate had hoped someone would address the people with guns, but it seemed the others ran, and not very well at that, so she had to be the one to stand up. "I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm harmless. I haven't harmed anyone, don't know how. Heck, I haven't even destroyed an property. So, please just let me go..." Mary asked trying to endear into them she was truly not the threat they were trying to paint her as.


Teacher's pet invoke, because no one capitalized on me trying to help them cover this.

The man looks at Katherine and raises his laser sight on his chest. He is solely focused on her.
"Look, I get it kid. But we need to bring you back. We have orders, I am sorry. I am going to need you to put your hands behind your back."

The man turns around half way, "We got a live one over here! She cooperating"

You have a few seconds before the other soldiers are on you...does anyone want to do anything or is anyone else around you?

Kate, having sufficiently distracted the guards to buy time for the others seeing them, distracted. Decides to sneak off. She wasn't the type of idiot to know when she was going to get into an experience she'd want to be with her father. So, all she had to do was sneak away. She was great at it, the only problem was, there wasn't a crowd to blend in, it was always easier with one.

Georgia had continued running, and didn't realize for a moment that Kate wasn't with her. She stopped and looked round.

She couldn't let her be captured that easily!

"Hey, Nazi goon! Do you enjoy torturing kids?"

Drawing attention to herself might not be the smartest move under the circumstances, but Georgia was still confident she could outrun him.

The soldier sees Georgia and starts moving towards her. While he is doing that Katherine starts running off. The guard turns to shot but curses as he sees both of his targets getting away in different directions. You hear him shout back.

"We got two live ones over here getting away!"

You've created a distraction enough that you go running off into the cold night trying to duck and dive out of the way of all things including people walking the streets. Finally get out of the range of the soldiers still on your tail but you are able to keep track of most of the other kids and manage to run into each other again in abandoned alley.

OOC: Waiting on people to react or do anything if you have questions reach out to me.

"Now what?"

Georgia leant against the wall of the alley and hugged herself to keep warm.

"We can't go back. Maybe we should go to the police, tell them about what happened?"

"They won't help, not without more proof than we have. Powerful people have ways to ensure, your stuck in helpless siutations." Kate seemed despondent at that. As if she had already gone through that experience.

At this time both of your phones go off.

There is a strange text that appears on both of them.

"Your not safe. Don't go back. Head to the docks near the edge of town and look for the Princess. Keep to the shadows and don't let them find you are going back where you just came from."

"Looks like we've got a place to go. The Princess must be a boat or a ship."

She hadn't seen the docks; she had no idea if it meant a small jetty for pleasure boats or a full harbour for shipping.

You make you way through the streets and finally to the docks themselves which are pitch black except the street light glow. When you reach them you don't see anyone standing and then just as you round the corner you get another text message, "Location compromised. One soldier is patrolling the dock by himself. Take him out."

Apparently he doesn't seem to know anything.

What do you do?

"We're expected to attack soldiers now? Just because a text message says so?"

Georgia shivered. Her T-shirt and leggings were better suited to a warm lab than cold docks.

"Let's try to find The Princess."

She looked out at the boats. She wasn't expecting to see names from here; she was curious if any of them were showing any lights.
