You awake to a sun shinning brightly in your eyes and the sound of loud ruckus outside. It only takes you a few minutes to realize that the festival has started very early today. The sounds of vendors and people flooding the streets fill your ears with so many noises its hard to focus. Still you manage to make it out to the street after preparing from the day and are greeted by all manner of folk. Yesterday was a slow day, today however is just filled with people all around town. Most of the people seem to be heading to the center of the town where most of the events and announcements are taking place.

Skyfro awoke in the serviceable inn at the edge of town and stretched as he listened to the crowd heading in to the center for the festival. For once, it was believable that all the better lodgings were full up when he arrived in town, though he hadn't tried, having become accustomed to lesser refuge in such places. He went through his morning prayers and exercises before dressing and gathering his things. He took a moment to make up his bed before heading out to skirt the edge of the crowd along the way to the action.

Torlek woke and checked his gear and supplies before heading down to the tap room to break his fast

Gerard woke slowly. He was a frequent visiter to Sandpoint, and this wasn't his first Swallowtail Festival, so a lie in seemed in order. Waiting until nature made him get out of bed, Gerard gathered his things and went down to the common room. He grabbed a light bite and a strong coffee before he made his way out and into the heart of the festival.

As you make your way following the wave of people bobbing and weaving through crowds and vendors. It's a beautiful day out with plenty of sun in the sky. You find your way to somewhere near the center of town near center of the town square Father Zantus and his acolytes wheel a large covered wagon into the square. They count the short parable of how Desna fell to the earth and was nursed back to health by a blind child. Then as a reward, Desna transformed the child into an immortal butterfly.

The acolytes pull the aside the wagon's cover releasing the thousands children of Desna: a furious storm of swallowtail butterflies. They swarm into the air in a spiraling riot of color to a great cheer from the crowd.

You learn lunch will be provided for free at the tavern down the way and you should make way to the tavern that Ameiko Kaijitsu is making.

Skyfro listens reverently as the priest speaks and claps with almost childlike glee when the butterflies are released. He stays a while to watch them flutter about before following the crowd towards the tavern.

After getting up and taking care of her morning needs, Mina heads out into the town. She's surprised by how much busier it is now than the day before. It seems obvious from the movement of the crowd where most of the activity is taking place and so she works her way in that direction. She remains vigilant for pickpockets and other shady types as she moves through the shifting crowds.

Mina watches the reenactment from at the back of the crowd. See finds the swarm of butterflies pleasing to look at. At the mention of free lunch though, she cannot help but make her way to the specified tavern to see what sort of meal this free lunch consists of. Even if it's just a basic meal, free food is good.

Torlek eat a dried fruit breakfast with cool fresh water before following the crowd down the street.

He watch the Butterfly spectacle and smiled at the wonder shining in the eyes of the children around him before heading to find his free lunch

When you make it to the tavern you are greeted by Ameiko Kaijitsu. "Welcome my friends. Everyone is welcome please have a table over there."

He points you in a direction and by happenstance you all end up at the same table to eat lunch. As people flood in from the streets the tavern is packed quickly but the food from the barkeeps is flowing very fast to the tables. In a matter of minutes you have some ale at your table before some bread is given out before the main meal starts.

You over hear many things while you are sitting waiting for your food.

"I can't believe it's been this long since this all took place."
"The festival is always beautiful I love the sights and sounds."
"Wonder speakers they will have this year?"

Skyfro takes a small sip of the ale, then eats a large quantity of bread as he takes in the scene and listens to the conversation. When not chewing, he has a thin smile on his face and he turns to look at anyone who is speak, but he does not say anything until others near him do first.

Mina looks the ale in her tankard over while she sniffs at it. Once she's satisfied it appears safe to drink, she takes a sip of the beverage and rolls the liquid around in her mouth to taste it. She next looks over the bread and then tears a small piece of it off. She sniffs at the piece before putting it into her mouth. She seems suspicious of the meal--perhaps because it was given without cost. She gives it a moment to see if anything seems off before consuming the rest of the ale and piece of bread.

While waiting for the main meal, she drinks the ale and eats the bread. As she does, she eyes the others sitting at the same table. She finds it odd the Gnome and Half-Orc from the Dwarf's chicken stand somehow both came to be seated at the same table as her. She eyes them suspiciously.

With a familiar nod to Ameiko, Gerard took his plate and ale and found himself sitting with a eclectic group.

Taking a drink from his draught, Gerard smiled and introduced himself to the table, "Morning to you all. I'm Gerard. Are you all in town for the festival as well?"

In reply to Gerard Serphent (msg # 12):

Skyfro nods. "Indeed."

After a pause, he continues, "You seem familiar with the place. Are you from around here?"

Yorlek pushed his way throughtcthe tavern crowd and found an empty seat at the table where others were gathered.

He recognised one or two from yesterday's excitement and nodded to them "well met my friends andcthsnk you for your assistance yesterday I wasn't sure my spell would hold it on its own"

Mina sits at the table quietly. Her eyes suddenly shift towards the Human man as he comes to sit at their table and starts talking freely.

She first nods to Gerald's question and then again to Torek's statement. A simple nod should be enough. She doesn't know anyone here.

Once it's provided, she quietly nibbles at the main meal.

"I don't know how much help I actually provided. The young lady there did much more. I am glad to hear you could see I had your back, though."
