Chapter 4: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

As you leave the small cabin and wave back to Bran you can't help but feel thankful to the little man. In this world of madness he is one of the few who gave you housing in food with no conditions. All things considered you feel lucky to have found him and had a decent meal and some sleep. When you head out the next morning you make your way down the mountain side darting from trail to trail trying to stay on stable ground. You reach about half way down the mountain when morning is turning to midday when you notice that off in the distance you can see the town that is most likely your destination.

Your still about a half of day trek out from reaching the city but between you and the city lies nothing but mostly flat plains like terrain with some higher bushes and farmland in the way.

Chapter 4: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

Jaysen marched along quietly, as he had promised. He had not said a word in roughly 12 hours, perhaps 20 if you counted his sleep. His silence isn't new, he normally said little so most probably won't even notice.

Chapter 4: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

Moving from bush to bush, the halfling stops at times. She looks like she is hunting her prey-like everyone. Or herding them badly. Maybe she is just having fun. Who knows "I laugh in the face of danger!" Well that's randomb. Even for Echo.

Chapter 4: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

With the dirt halfling patrolling, Malleus keeps his eyes on the town they are approaching.. After a time he mutters to the rest of them, "We know little of the Nym beyond what the Count has spoken of. Perhaps it is best if we find out a little of how he is perceived in the town, before confronting him? I would prefer to avoid knowingly riling up a mob, for instance"

Jaysen shrugged and motioned for Malleus to take the lead.

"So, we need to find out where he is, which one is him, and not let anyone know why we're looking for him in the process?" Lyra nodded to herself as she thought of the impact that each of those points had on the objective at hand. "I've helped form a mob or two. I'm sure I can find a way to disperse one, if it should happen."

Chapter 4: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

As you continue down the mountain Echo notices that she hears something coming up from above your head and a further away distance from where you are located. A few seconds pass there is some rubble falling above head. You look down and the trail still has a decent ways to go before it will reach the bottom of the mountain.

Muirryl nodded to the others.  "And when we find him, we need to offer him the chance to fall in line with the Count's offer once more, and if not, we put an end to him."

Muirryl kept up the ground-eating pace that he'd fallen into over the past few days.  This was much farther than he had previously walked on any given day, and ever in his life.

He was utterly unaware of Echo's discoveries.

Chapter 4: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

The bard pops up and puts a hand for the others to stop. She points above and shrugs, and remains still. Her eyes narrow on the location, listening for a moment. First she's a healer. Now she's a scout. And does neither of them well. Oh what fun. Guess they lost Turg. And hopefully Jack. She turns back to the druid for a moment. Lovely. Let's wait till she turns on the group. Everyone does sooner or later.....

Perception-
15:43, Today: Echo rolled 10 using 1d20+3 ((7)).

Chapter 4: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

There is a dark shadow that flies over head that catches everyone attention. The screech is made by the large creature that lands on a cliff near by overhead and gives a large call. You realize the creature is a Griffon. It watches you with steady eyes but does not move from the cliff itself. It's large wings spread out and block parts of the sun.
