I want to see the following in your RTJ.

* Name, gender, race, appearance, age, starting class(es) and sub-classes, and most importantly the character concept/backstory.
* A character sheet is not needed, expected, or wanted at this time.
* A writing sample would be nice, but is not mandatory.

* I will decide what players to accept, and it may or may not be in order of arrival. An interesting character concept/backstory weighs heavily in your favor.

Your character may be from Nordland or from anywhere else. Anywhere else won't really be detailed in this game, so you have a lot of leeway in choosing such a place. As I select the team, we may make some minor tweaks if players want to know each other's characters beforehand or if your backstories have shared details. If that is something you'd like.

Play will begin in the Nordland city of Skalavik and you may want to decide why your character is in town.

Please let me know how experienced you are with D&D 5e. Though I have DMd/GMd other games before, this is the first time I'm Dming a 5e game.

Notes for character creation:
* Standard Point Buy as per PHB page 13.
* 3rd level characters.
* Max HP at all levels, but monsters also have max HP.
* Classes allowed – Any from PHB, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Monsters of the Multiverse, or Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
* Races allowed – Any from PHB, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Monsters of the Multiverse, or Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
* No supplemental materials allowed.
* Gear from background and class can be sold at full price at character creation. You have an additional 400 gp and one uncommon magic item.
