House Rules

Deep Snow: Deep snow is considered Difficult Terrain. Traveling with snowshoes, skis, or sleds ignores Difficult Terrain caused by deep snow.
Equipment: If you get a longsword from your class or background, you will get a scimitar instead.
Spell Scrolls: Anyone can use a spell scroll as long as they're proficient in Arcana (Bard, Sorcerer, Wizard, and Warlock), Nature (Druid and Ranger), or Religion (Cleric and Paladin). If the spell isn't on your spell list, you must succeed on a skill check using the above skill with a DC of 10 + spell level. If you fail, the spell is still cast, but you have to roll on the Wild Magic Surge table too.
Weapon Proficiencies: As scimitar (seax) is a more common weapon in Nordland than the longsword is, if you are proficient with the longsword, but not the scimitar, you are proficient with the scimitar instead.

Inspiration

You can gain Inspiration by roleplaying your character in a way that's true to their personality traits, ideal, bond, or flaw. Or by taking risks. Either must be combined with a notable action that "drive[s] the story forward, push[es] the adventurers into danger, or makes [me] laugh." I will award Inspiration after your action, that way you do what you want to do instead of going in the direction of the luring Inspiration.

The DMG suggests that everyone should get Inspiration once per session, but as we don't have sessions, we'll see how frequent it will be.

You either have Inspiration or not. Inspiration gives you advantage on a single attack roll, saving throw, or ability check. You can decide to use your Inspiration after you have rolled your first dice. At any time, you can instead give your Inspiration to another player who doesn't have Inspiration. A player who has Inspiration can only use it before I have adjudicated the result of the attack roll, saving throw, or ability check.

You can also spend your Inspiration to roll on the table below.
1d8Award
1-4Potion of Healing
5-63 10gp gemstones (roll 1d12 for type)
7-8Level 1 spell scroll (roll for spell on the table below)
As you level up, this table may change.

Butchering

If you kill something and want it butchered, you may try to butcher it yourself or you can bring it to a butcher to do it for you. This has to happen within 12 hours of death unless measures are taken to preserve the body. Paying a butcher to do it costs 2gp per day or portion thereof.

If you are proficient with Butchering Tools and succeed on your Wisdom (Butchering Tools) check, you can eat or sell 47.5% of the creature's weight as food. If you are not proficient, you make a Wisdom (Survival) skill check instead and you roll for the No Proficiency entry to see how many pounds of meat you can harvest. If you don't have butchering tools, but you have some weapon or tool that you could use instead, you roll at disadvantage (when you determine how many lbs of meat you get). In any case, the process takes the time listed in the Time column.
