Sheriff: Hamil 'the Hammer' Hammersly, Dwarf, M, 60s, married with 6 kids from 17 to 30.

The town has 22 constables under the sheriff.
There are several liveries, many taverns, several blacksmiths, and three temples in Schrewsberry.
There are several dozen farms near town.

The Rhone River runs along the west side of town. There is only a single fishery, however. But iron sands are easy prospecting along the shallows of the river.

The King's Road runs through the center of town. There are many shops and a local bazaar built along the King's Road with side streets allowing access to various taverns, inns, houses, liver stables, etc.

pretty much your typical successful small town.

once the characters are completed their background info will help flesh out the town and surrounding farms and mills more and will be detailed in this thread too. similarly this thread will be updated with new and pertinent persons, place, and problems.

Yngvar's dad, Birahu, owns the Scarlet Bard Inn and an attached brewery where he brews the house beer, considered the best in town, though he has competition. His mother, Rosa, is the head cook, Yngvar, being 18, has learned both cooking and brewing to help out. Birahu is the Brewmaster. Annie Quickstep, a halfling, manages the Inn and is the head bartender. Yngvar has 3 younger brothers and 3 sisters, one is older, the rest younger. His older sister, Hallie, helps in the kitchen and acts as a barmaid. There are 2 other barmaids that were hired, they're all treated like family, Birahu is very protective of them. Birahu and Rosa are retired adventurers themselves, Birahu is a wizard, and Rosa was a Burglar. Yngvar is 5'10", 180 pounds, black hair, blue eyes, and a well groomed light beard.

Samuel lives in a small cabin just outside of town which he inherited from the old hunter that raised him.

The smokehouses and hide processing facilities of the town are located inside the town but not too far from his home and he can be found helping out around there fairly often.

Benedict helps out at the temple of Padron where he also helps with security, not being a cloister. He's easy going and tries to help all who come to the temple for assistance. Sometimes the politics of the temple/township/laity get him down but he powers through with good deeds and good cheer.

Andar Silverblood was orphaned by his mother after a rather untimely pregnancy.  She was
rather deep in her cup one night when she was visiting her sister here in Schrewsberry.
Wound up tangled up with his father an Elven Ambassador traveling to the capitol.  She
managed to keep him unknown by visiting her sister here until the child was born.  He
lived with his aunt until she died of the pox.   Andar still lives in her home and
uses the place for his Bowyer/ Fletcher shop.  He has managed to gather and make several long bows.  He also has a large collection of arrows with several different fletching colors gathered from the local ducks and geese.  He has an unfounded repututation for keeping to himself.  He is well known around town and does several good deed for the local community.

there is no real reason for Andar to be shunned, apart from the town, or otherwise ostracized locally. He grew up in here, his family is from here, people here know him and grew up with him. it's home to him more than any other place in the valley. if you want to play him as a outcast you'll need a reason why, like bad family reputation, he got into some real trouble in the past, etc.

everyone should keep in mind that it assumed that you guys know each other from this town. it wasn't a request. it's part of the plot and story arch. everyone should be aware that if you want to be an outsider, do outside of this game.

the old oak should be a like a mountain redwood some ways from town, family mansion of sorts, hell, i'd pay to stay in place like that.

Uvaic is the son of a pair of dwarven adventurers/wanderers who came into town before he was born.  He grew up and built a reputation of coming through on his word but being a bit sharp-tongued.  He’s often seen in weapons practice when he’s not working the series of odd jobs that he managed to land and retain in spite of his occasional off comment.

Spindass is the Apprentice of Rawlston the Mage, and usually lives in Rawlston's tower on the outskirts of town.

He's a good natured man who is accompanied by two large dogs, Frick and Frack.

His parents are herbalists and have a large garden with a myriad of plants, both local and imported.

Godril is one of the sons of an elf cheftain living close to Schrewsberry. He is a well known figure in teh town, using to be part of its night life, or helping from time to time the cosntables or the foresters.

He is less distant to humans than Gray elves use to be, and uses to treat everyine as an equal, as logn as he's treated with respect too.
