#Malkavia ... That being said, only because today, after I mentioned the film Donnie Darko, and I then learned that Osiris was the original rabbit hole, and a brown bunny manifested on my property two hours ago. Harengon Hospitaler.

Life domain Cleric is my personal first choice. Historical coincidence of playing in parties without a full healer.

Waddles in with the fattest pack around. "Never fear your friendly neighborhood cat burglar is here!"

But seriously these packs are ridiculous, my lightest option is 47.5lbs, which is heavier than me! While my heaviest option is 61.5lbs. Well guess I know what I'm spending my starting funds on, I shall name her Jenny. lol

Also, DM can we sell or exchange some of our starting equipment? Because I don't really need two crowbars.

Same with my Class Dungeoneer's Pack plus my Background's Monster Hunter's Pack. The weight should be adjusted for Small species lol. I just want the rations, waterskin, and... and...

@Dungeon_Master, my kobold needs a shovel. And does it qualify as a Club?

I'd say a shovel is more of a piercing weapon then a blungioning. Why not get a minor's pick?

I mean at least we don't have half the carry capacity of medium creatures anymore, but I do miss the quarter weight small gear. Ultimately though DnD item weights have always been double or more of their real-world counterparts to incentivize investing in expensive weight solutions.

Also given blade geometry I'd say a Shovel is more Slashing than Piercing, even if you do almost exclusively thrust with it.

Now besides maybe buying some tools or a pack mule I'd say I'm done with my sheet.

Good points, all. :-) My little kobold is a more civilized sorcerer, but he's still a dungeoneering digger critter at heart.

@DM..! Since the dungeoneer's pack and the monster hunter's pack both include a hammer and a crowbar... May I exchange the tools in the dungeoneer's pack to a small miner's pick and a spade shovel?

Well can't have both of them. So either the drungeoneer's pack or the monsterhunters pack. Having 2 backpack is a bit much and yeah you can have a small pick and shovel. I don't mind encomberance but having say like 5 weapons is a bit much :)

Depends on the weapons, five daggers are going to look a lot less ridiculous than five pikes after all. Though five weapons aren't that much of a stretch if you're a dual wielder, then you can easily want two weapons of each damage type as well as an emergency sling, which can weigh as little as 15.5lbs.

Now if you're a great weapon master with an emergency sling however that can get a little ridiculous as the lightest options come out to 35.5lbs, which is still lighter than all of our pack options lol.

Really, walking around with say 2 greatswords, 2 longswords, 2 picks, a handful of daggers, a sling with stones. Oh can't forget the heavy crossbow with bolts. Got to have 2 mauls and 2 maces.

I had a PC wanting all of that. Yeah. Right.

hahahaha he's walkin' around with the freakin' Iron Throne's worth of weapons because THIS pc can dual wield and attack twice with each hand.

I'd be like, aye good luck with your six darts, dude. lol

I mean if there's an archetype that lets you dual wield great weapons I can see it, players will do crazy things to avoid resistances and maximize their DPT.

Yea I get it. 2 Greatsword? Sure. But say add in 2 mauls, 2 scythes, 2 greatclubs, ect. I had people wanting to carry -all- of them. Its different if your strong enough to do it but how are you supposed t0 -move- and defend yourself? You cannot do it effectively.

Not saying you cannot walk around with like 5 weapons if it makes sense.

Mace: Right hip
Longsword: Left hip
Dagger (say 2): Boots
Longbow with arrows: Back

Make senses :)
