I keep seeing the Posts to one of my games light up red on the main dash, despite the only new posts being in a Group that my character doesn't have access to. Is this working as intended, or is something borked? I know there are a lot of wonky things that will make games seem like they have new posts sometimes when they don't, but this is the first time I've been able to pinpoint that it's definitely new messages in threads I can't read doing it.

(And yes, it's definitely a case of new messages posted to threads in Groups I don't have access to tripping red on my main dash, and not a case of strangeness between devices - I've verified with someone who /can/ view the Group being posted to.)

Edit: Using Responsive, for clarification purposes. Unsure if it's doing the same thing on the old site, but will check.

To add to it, I've experienced a similar thing, that stopped once the party got all back together and there were no more private groups I didn't have access too.

It's been an issue for some folks due to how the site works.

Yes, I'd seen that thread, but there's a post from BBR in there from some 8 years ago indicating that it shouldn't be doing this



...and another later in the thread from jase seven years ago stating that the original issue from that particular thread should /also/ be fixed. (Or at least I'm guessing that end-user testing took place somewhere in the intervening seven years between then and now - hopefully!)

Same, but I'm almost 100% sure it's the Language feature breaking things as the ones I've been able to verify through the mods and by talking to the GMs in those games were always when posts in threads I don't have access to contained Language Group posts my Characters have access to.
