Needs, Wants, Triggers

What I want from games are action, intrigue, and romance.

What I don't want is for RP to be a competition where players spend their time trying to get one up or over on the other people in threads.  I don't like scenes where characters serve as the enemies for each other.

I do like lots of NPCs to enliven scenes, including the enemies that they will overcome together.

Structurally, I see the play as a series of interlocked team-ups between characters, in which no one needs to be there for every scene but the scenes build towards a resolution as fits the needs and wants of the players.

History

His history has grown long enough that a short history is impossible.  He's a billionaire vigilante of the night with a penchant for martial arts and alien technology!

Traits

* Daredevil super athlete.  His family were physical performers, contortionists, and escape artists, which is a good base for everything that happened next.  He is massively talented and trained in nearly any physical task one can imagine.  And more interesting still is that he is great at taking chances.  He can finely gauge the difference between what is impossible and merely unlikely.  This can make him seem otherworldly in terms of ability.

* Tricksy master martial artist.  Flow like water.  He's past the point of styles, having achieved a natural rhythm and flow where he no longer has to imagine what he's going to do.  It just happens.

* Xenotech expert.  He's got gadgets!  Even his gadgets have gadgets.  Most of them are based on implementations of various alien technologies, and even alien materials.  He has several unique implementations of xenotech and terrestrial technologies, used in interesting and unusual ways.

* Investigator.

* Weaponized stage magic.  It is misdirection, confusion, fast-talking, cold reading, lockpicking, stealthy weirdness.  He has incorporated his techno-weird education into this, but most of the skills were learned or adapted from his parents, where they routinely used cleverness and an understanding of human psychology to convince intelligent, attentive people that they could do the impossible.

* One step ahead.  But his biggest "power" isn't one where he can manipulate people into thinking he has superpowers, or gadgets that might as well be superpowers, or knowledge of the martial arts, but that he usually knows what a person is going to do before they do it.  Some of it is research, some of it is insight, and some of it is intuition.  He's also adaptable and can change a plan in the middle of a conflict.  People who are way more powerful than him routinely get caught right here.

* Ki manipulation.  The lower key ki powers.

* Super cool and charming.  Get it?  It's very funny.  As a result, he's got a lot of friends, and he can make friends, in all kinds of weird places.
