General Appearance:  5'5', 127 lbs., slim, yet well rounded where it counts, smooth, fair skin.  Her eyes are a deep violet color, expressive, sometimes haunting, sometimes haunted, though she tries to keep the latter look from being seen.  Her mouth is well size, with full lips and a well-placed and proportioned nose.  A delicate curve of jaw, perfectly arched brows and long lashes set off her high cheekbones and generally very pleasant countenance.

PERSONALITY

Emberlyn is hard to pin down, in more ways than one.  She’s a multi-faceted character who tends to observe and listen more than speak, however, when she does speak, it is with intent and often brutally honest as her spirit is as fiery as her hair, which can get her into trouble.  One moment she may appear seemingly cool and detached, even imperious, at others, her tender and kind heart are fully on display.  There is a hint of shyness about her, having felt rather the outcast most of her life, yet she is also oddly comfortable and confident in herself at the same time.  It is others she doubts more than anything.  She is a tempest full of passion and fury, song and dance, logic and imagination - a curious mix of wisdom and innocence, sadness and hope.

While Emberlyn might look like a fragile porcelain doll, she has an inner strength matched by none and an outer strength that would surprise most.  Her determination, dedication and devotion to her family is unwavering, if not obvious.  She has an innate sense of honor though at times it can be over-ridden by a mischievous streak of impulsivity and stubbornness.  While a good hearted and caring girl, she has been a bit spoiled and over-protected.

HISTORY

Emberlyn was a lucky girl, born to loving parents, living a truly idyllic life of adventure, at least for the first 8 years.  Unfortunately tragedy struck robbing her of her mother and her purely innocent view on life.  She had to grow up a bit, in the most traumatic way.  Still, she had her father, the Miura's and Carpenter's.  With them, she was able to regain her zest for life and move past grief, though she would never forget the heinous acts of that day and would learn how to better protect herself and those she loved as a result. And learn she did, quick witted, tempestuous, kind, and a bit wild, she learned with alacrity and loved the freedom the life of adventure her father offered, albeit perhaps with a bit more wariness now.  Still, she was loved, educated, though not in the normal way a young lady usually was, and she had travelled far more than most.

That is until she was 17, when her father's brother, the Earl, somehow convinced him that she was no longer a child but a young lady on the eve of her debut.  Debut, who cared about such?  She certainly did not however the conversation brought troubling realization to her father, who had obviously not thought too much of her future.  Not that she was bothered by this, she wanted her future to be as was her present, carefree travel with her father and family.  She did not want to be trapped into marriage that tied her down and restricted her freedom.  She did not want to be stagnate.  Unfortunately, her Uncle won the battle and her father, for the first time, left her behind.

It was supposed to only be a short expedition.  He was only supposed to be gone for six to eight months at the most.  Now it was two years later and she was tired of her Uncle's lies, manipulations and indecent behaviours.  Luckily, she had money of her own, left her by her mother, and she was not dependent upon her Uncle, though he certainly tried every means to make her so.  For some time now, she had been secretly planning and plotting and soon, all her efforts would pay off.  She would leave this house, take her true family with her and finally find out what happened to her father.
