Leyna is a civilized elf, not one of those twee forest elves skipping through glades and dells like a prancing princess. She has platinum hair that is long, sleek, and falls past her shoulders. If she's being practical, she pulls it into a ponytail. Her clothes are dark and those of a traveler, including a black hooded cape cloak. She appears to be a young adult (although it can often be hard to tell with elves) perhaps in her mid 20s.

She is graceful, like many elves, and often haughty, also like many elves. While not unattractive herself, her personality is not always as pleasant. She reads much, is a keen observer, and looks quite through the deeds of men. She loves no plays and hears no music. She seldom smiles, and - when she does - smiles in such a way as if she mocked herself for being moved to smile at anything.

On the road, she usually carries a shield and a staff that serves as a walking stick. At The Honking Swan, she is often seen smoking and writing, but rarely drinking. She is usually coy about what exactly she's writing, but a spying eye would see her taking notes, drawing diagrams, sketching maps, and making other recordings of her travels and observations. Her accent is polished and speaks to a certain degree of education.
