 Hair: blueish silver very long down to the floor but the hair seems alive. (Sam has prehensile hair that can grow rapidly out to 250 feet.)

 Her entire body has a blue glow about it, it is barely visible during the day but very prominent in darkness.

 Sam was a Astral Physicist called on to investigate a meteor. There was an "accident" and she absorbed Cosmic energy from the meteorite.

 Sam is pretty smart and she knew she was changed and then her hair became alive. She was confined in a very strong room as Sam finally got her full strength as she absorbed more of the energy into her body.  There was an attack and Thirteen broke her out of the facility,  as they escaped Sam was separated from the others. She walked for days but didn't feel tired.

 Sam had found a small town to hide in then the Haze hit. Sam is a caring nice person but her trust in people dropped when the "accident" happened.
