Description:
Longstrider is, for lack of a better term, a Hoss. He is tall, powerfully built, and swift and his strength is a matter of local legend. He keeps his raven black hair cut just above the shoulder and is known for his piercing blue eyes.
He is generally found dressed as a man o' the wood, cloaked and outfitted in woodland colors. However when he's in town he often dresses in what he calls "Town Clothes" which are much nicer and even include a dark red coat and hat.
Known Facts:
Samuel lives in a small cabin just outside of town which he inherited from the old hunter, William Longstrider, that raised him.
The smokehouses and hide processing facilities of the town are located inside the town but not too far from his home and he can be found helping out around there fairly often.
He is known to speak the language of Elves and is comfortable in their company having received significant parts of his Ranger training from the local fair folke.
Sam is also known to be a skilled wrestler and runner and slightly less well known to be trained in the arts of healing by local woodswife Q'oriena, mother to Ch'aska, and has been heard to converse in her strange outland language.
Obvious Gear:
When dressed for fighting he wears a well made suit of mail and an iron cap and carries a number of handaxes and a longsword that was made a couple of generations ago and handed down to him by Bill. On almost all occasions he wears two knives, one a wide bladed hunting knife and the other a longknife of elvish make.
When hunting Sam prefers to use a Boarspear as opposed to a bow.
