Esmeralda Banciu is a highly educated, highly skilled, highly trained Scientist well skilled in the black arts of Alchemy.  She was a successful young scientist working in a lab developing cures, working with all sorts of viral diseases.  Her mother and grandmother and her mother before her were skilled in what some would call eclectic witchcraft.  Then one night after working a late shift she was walking home when she was taken off guard and met her fate at the hands of a handsome suave businessman, later to be turned by her captor into what he was and that was a .... vampire.  With the turning so went her mind and she went a little mad, a touch of darkness in her became a passion as she worked for him, with him, on a myriad of potions that would affect both the human and the vampire world.  She became the Vampire Conspiracy’s top Scientist and ally.
