Cade stands 6’2 with dark curly hair and hazel eyes that normally appear brown but if the lights hit them just right they’ll flash a brilliant blue or green. He’s muscular and fit, strong without looking like a gym rat, his strength born of years of hard labor and outdoor living.  His skin is ruddy and weathered as a result and he has strong, calloused hands.  His gait is a tad bowlegged from his years in the saddle, but his laid-back ease belies an effortless speed and stamina.  This is not to say he's uncouth or out of touch. He keeps his heart neatly trimmed, his clothes, when he's not working are pressed and in good shape and he's impossibly polite as only cowboys can be.

He carries an intense gaze that seems to bore through people.  He's been able to shut down fights with a stare, but those who know him understand him as a stout oak that won't cave to any storm and will be as a reliable friend as anyone has ever had. He doesn't smile often, but when he does it's warm and welcoming and only reserved for his closest friends.  If you're lucky enough to count him as a friend, you know he'll move heaven and earth to help any way he can.



Cade grew up on a working cattle ranch in Montana in the shadows of the Bitterroot Range of the Rocky Mountains.  It was a hard life but a fulfilling one.  A horseman from the time he could walk he loves rodeo, especially the calf roping contests because it takes a team.  Living a life in the mountains, he became a skilled hunter and tracker and survivalist.  Taking mountain rescue classes through the local SKi Patrols, he was a volunteer for local search and rescue teams.  It was here he had his first vampire encounter.

He met his future wife through family friends when he was 10.  Childhood sweethearts. A three sport star in High School, he earned a scholarship to the University of Montana where he studied Wildlife, fish, and wildlands science and management and took a minor in criminal justice.  Following his dream, applied for being a Sherrif's deputy to earn time as a law enforcement officer needed to become a Game Warden like his Grandfather.

Due to his wife's family, he grew up speaking nearly fluent Shoshone and Algonquin.  It was her father and brother that taught him everything he knows about the wilderness and living in it as one with nature.  He also speaks Spanish.  He's not fluent in it but he can understand it and be understood as he took the language in high school and college but it's with an obvious northern accent.

He married the love of his life when he was 22 and then moved to Missoula for his job.

Through the warden service, he trained and became an expert in survival and search and rescue and became a leader of the local search and rescue teams for lost hikers and other missing persons that routinely go missing in the mountains for various reasons. In his spare time he trained hunting and tracking dogs.

When not running around in the woods, he spent time with his wife and working on various projects such as his old Camaro.

Over the years he came across more and more people that went missing and had the same kind of wounds consistent with the ones he found on the woman in his youth.
He started spending his free time in the mountains searching for clues.  Then one day his wife went missing.  They found her in the mountains torn apart.  Her car was demolished, its door torn from its hinges. His curiosity turned into obsession and he found others to join him in his quest to find whatever or whoever was doing this.  The vampire found them first.  That night he met his wolf.   Shortly after that, he met Elyas, the local pack leader.  He was a wolf-born lycanthrope who taught cade what it meant to be a werewolf.  Through Elyas Cade met Gray Pierce.

Horsemanship (rodeo), rope use (roping/lasso work for cattle/horses), animal care. Hunting (rifle, shotgun/pistol), fishing, tracking, trapping, (From boy scouts --camping, orienteering, wilderness survival, first aid), dirt bike/4-wheeler, off-roading, mechanics (He likes working on cars/trucks/bikes when not hunting/fishing or the like).  He’s knowledgeable about computers and their operation, he went to college after all, but beyond basic troubleshooting needs to call the IT specialist if he has problems with his computer.
