Bartja is covered by the typical wispy Yazirian hair in a reddish hue.  His large eyes are nearly emerald green but often covered by sungoggles to protect his sensitive pupils.  Bartja is still a student, studying Mechanical Engineering and Pre-Med at the University on Hyyay, his home city on the planet Hakosoar in the Scree Fron system.  He's in his third year of studies and showing much promise in the field of Robotics.

Currently, he's a junior member of the team hired to explore this new planet.  He's along as a robotics technician but is also along as a medical assistant.  Bartja is young and has a bit of a superiority complex which makes him almost universally disliked (although he seems oblivious to the fact).
