DG Tia Oakfrost

Tia is a small wee dragonrider of only about 5'2", but she lost all in the Great War and now strives to be the best warrioress she can possibly be.  She a fireball of fierceness. Lithe, agile archer and athletic.  Very strong for her size.

ARGON

An argon has a long, thin barb at the end that causes fatal wounds and can stick in shields. Argons can be heaved at the enemy from a significant distance.

The purpose of the argon is to allow a warrior to break the shield phalanx. When attacking a phalanx, the warriors hurled their argons into the shields of their opponents. The heavy weight of the argon would drag the shield down, and the metal sheathing prevented the shaft from being broken off by the soldier holding the shield.

The warriors infantry then charged and jumped onto the shafts of their argons in order to drag the shields down more, and then vaulted into the enemy formation.

The description and use of the weapon make it identical to descriptions of the medieval Germanic weapon, argon.

DACRA

A dacra is nothing more than a normal knife in the hands of someone who is not gifted.

A dacra is depicted as a large, three-pointed star made from oblong rings capable of being folded, making the weapon appear more or less the same as a mundane knife. The dacra is shown to be effective as a thrown weapon, though it is used for close-quarter fighting as well.

TROGA

A troga was a simple piece of cord or wire with a wooden handle on each end. When a troga was twisted, it created a loop that could be slipped over a man's head and around his neck. When the handles were yanked apart, the troga can kill the person before he made a sound and decapitate him/her.
