AGE:  37

FACTION: Dark Regime

DESCRIPTION:  Dark brown hair, brownish-green eyes, and an average build. If she wasn't dressed like a Mord Syth, someone might overlook her. Personally, she likes wearing black, and sometimes, when she's fighting, she'll wear a half-mask over the lower part of her face.

For weapons, she prefers wielding two long daggers for close combat (one slightly curved).

She once believed that good could always overcome evil and that heroes would always be there to save the day. She has since hardened her heart against such silly beliefs. She does not hold any hope for the Royal Dragonguards and would like to see them be history.

She can get so focused on something that it becomes like an obsession. She is not a strategist.  She sometimes gets easily angry if things don't go a certain way, and she might try to take it out on someone (below her) or an inanimate object.

SKILLS:
She excels with daggers. She's quick and agile in a close fight.
She is also good with a crossbow.  A steady shot that usually hits its target (whether it sticks is another story).
She has the physical endurance and mental strength to overcome hardships (like torture).

BACKGROUND:
Kaina was from a wealthy family that had fallen on hard times. When she became an adult, she found work with the Royal Dragonguards, but not as a dragon rider. She was more of a maid and sometimes was asked to deliver non-vital messages and items between other Dragonguards.  When she wasn't busy, she practiced her fighting on straw dummies, hoping to catch the eye of a dragon. While her skills improved, she "failed" at impressing a dragon.

About two years after the rebellion, someone told her that her family was still alive.  She wanted someone to save them, but they said it was too risky at the time.  That wasn't good enough for her, and she waited for the right moment to take a crossbow, a couple of daggers, and a black cloak and ran into the night.  She found the Dark Regime instead. She fought against them and swore she had a dragon and that there'd be trouble if they didn't release her.  She kept that up for well over a year, even as things got worse, but she slowly lost hope after that. When her spirit finally broke, she surrendered to the Dark Regime.

She survived longer than a lot of women tortured by the Mord Syth.  Maybe Lord Bastion Bludd noticed her tenacity and willingness to fight her captors, and once broken, had her redirect her anger back toward the Dragonguards that she once swore would rescue her.  So she trained to fight her new enemy and now pledges her life and loyalty to Bastion Bludd and the Dark Regime.
