Vice: Pride. He is very confident in his abilities, though that confidence leads to cockiness more often than not. He can easily be over-confident, and bite off more than he can chew in a fight.

Gifts: He is well-trained in all areas of Necrophium, from raising the dead in hordes to the mass healing of several people at once - though he cannot easily do these things, he needs a triad. If he were to form a triad, his powers would be greatly improved when working with them. He has extensive knowledge of the magical lore of Scathos and the surrounding wilderness. He has many contacts throughout Scathos, and knows many things about all of the big bads and “good” guys in the sanctuary. He is wealthy and owns a popular magic shop in Scathos-North.

Weaknesses: Pride. Pride and overconfidence in one’s abilities go hand in hand. Family. He loves his family, but they could easily be used against him if someone learned his real name and tracked them down. Triad. If a member of his triad (after it is formed) dies, he most likely will as well due to magic backlash. Power of Three. If he is not in a triad, his magic is weakened significantly.

Personality: He can be cocky and condescending at times, but he is generally nice and laid back. He’s a decent guy.

History: Dex, though that is not his actual name, has an extensive history in magic. He is only 37, but he has been practicing magic since he was thirteen. He studied under the White Triumvirate for years, learning to control his powers. Dex proved to be a quick study, a natural. After learning all he could, he went out into the world, wanting to start his own life. Over the years he got married and had kids. He is a fairly big player in Scathos. He is well-known throughout. He is one of the few human mages powerful enough, without a triad, to be known that well. If you haven’t met him, you’ve most likely heard his name. Dex is a veritable well of information, though he only accepts secrets and true names as currency – unless you’re buying items from his shop. Dex guards his true name jealously. In his opinion, giving someone your name paints a big target on the backs of your loved ones. He is currently hoping to find people who would be willing to form a triad with him.
